I've been to the Beecher's in Seattle so was happy when Beecher's opened shop in New York City. The sliced meats and cheeses are amazing - especially the Dutch Hollow Dulcet, an incredibly rich New York cow cheese. It's a great place for a weekend afternoon light lunch since you can order sandwiches, salads or light snacks from their on-site cafe and eat on milk tins while watching the cheesemakers at work. I don't have kids but I would think this would be a great experience for them! There is a restaurant downstairs, The Cellar, that serves farm-style dishes tapas style that I haven't yet been to but am excited to try!
