“Good for the money”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 18, 2013

I stayed in this hotel twice, first in October 2012 and more recently in March 12-16 2013. It is a decent and safe place to stay. Great location, only one block to the subway and bus stops. Major Upper West Side attractions (such as the Museum of Natural History, Lincoln Center, etc.) within walking distance. Lots of stores and restaurants around. The rooms are very small. Basically, they would fit a full size bed and your bags. But they are clean. It can get a bit loud at night but that's mostly inconsiderate guests. The heating system is also very loud, I don't know if they can do anything about it. I had some internet connection problems during my first stay but it worked perfectly the second time.
Ideal for people who travel alone. Might be a bit trying for couples. Good value for the price. Decent staff.

Room Tip: I have never stayed in one but I think the front rooms that overlook 87th street are bigger, so may...

If you are looking for a comfortable bed and a great location, look no further. Belnord is located a short walk from the Central Park and subway station. The room itself was very small but clean. Wifi in the room works OK. Staff were friendly. If you are a budget traveler this is one of your best options in New York. I would stay there again

I received unauthorized charges on my card. I did not stay at this site. The staff was very rude and unprofessional. The place is substandard. You can find ideal lodging at a Hampton for close to the same price. They have a history of bug infestation. Pray before you stay.

Room Tip: Please stay at a standard hotel. The Hampton Inn has a price that is close.

If you just want a bed and bathroom to crash after a day of sightseeing then this is perfect. The location could not be better, it is a 5min walk from central park and the main museums. It is right next to Broadway, which is full of great places to eat, to get a taxi and with a near by subway entrance. It is roughly 10-15 dollars into midtown manhatten from the hotel, but your just outside of the madness enough to relax, but in a nice neighbourhood and within mintues from all major attractions.

However the staff on the main desk are miserable, unresponsive and unhelpful. The rooms are totally basic but clean and comfortable. They are noisy though and small though. But would say its value for money and does the job. And the location is its biggest selling point

I recently stayed for a few days in this hotel. I found it adequate for the money charged which was very affordable. The room though small was very clean. The maids are very efficient. The Wifi needs to be improved upon. Would give it 70 out of a 100. Would definitely stay there again.

Not a bad hotel if you plan on staying in the city just a few nights. The rooms are pretty small though so any prolonged stay in this hotel may leave you feeling pretty cramped. With that said, the rooms are very clean and are cleaned daily. I would have given this hotel four stars if it wasn't for the poor wifi signal throughout the hotel. The wifi signal is very weak and is hit or miss. I was lucky if I stood connected to the internet for five minutes before the signal was lost and took me another 20 minutes just to try to connect again. I wasn't the only guest with this problem, I heard another man in the lobby complaining at the front desk about the wifi problem. Overall this is a great hotel, but if you need the interent to work/study you might want to find another place.

They gave us the key to an occupied room and we walked in on a man in his underwear. When we went downstairs, there was another couple at the desk and they asked us, "Did you get someone else's room key too?" The desk clerks were laughing about it, but it wasn't funny to the man in his underwear. We were scared to leave anything in our room because they were just handing out room keys downstairs.

Also, the rooms are the size of a bathroom.

Room Tip: Ask for a room without any other people in it.
