“Great location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 2, 2014

Overall our experience was a good one. The 1 bdrm suite was spacious & having a kitchenette was a big plus. Staff very firendly/helpful. The only glitch was upon arrival. We arrived on a Sun nite @11pm. There was no doorman, so my daughter & I had to bring in all luggage while my husband stayed in car in front of hotel. We had to request the valet pkg & it took a while. However, a bellhop took care of us once we checked in. Noticed lack of doorman other nites as well. Ask for hi floor.

I was recently in NY on a business trip and I stayed at the Benjamin . It was my second time choosing this hotel. Khady at the front desk was amazing. She remembered me by name, helped me arrange a last minute business meeting at the hotel, and was all around lovely and very professional . I had a wonderful stay and would definitely return.

We flew in at 10a on Fri (Labor day weekend) and not only was our room ready, we were upgraded and our son was given a stuffed owl for his first trip to NYC (he is 7 yrs old). To be able to check in drop off luggage and freshen up was a God send for a family. The room was beautiful (windows on 3 sides) and a HUGE balcony. I believe it was a terrace suite. We had a fridge, which really helped having a young son. The staff was courteous and helpful. The doormen were always prompt and welcoming. After 4 exhausting days of seeing all the sites, the beds were wonderful. I have stayed here before and will again. The Benjamin made our family trip excellent!

Room Tip: If looking for a good size balcony, must select terrace suites.

Had a great time at the Benjamin. Brilliant, helpful Desk staff, nothing was too much trouble.
Ideal location great for 5th avenue and Cental Park. A short walk to theatre district so you are just far enough away from the busy areas.
The room was much bigger than all other rooms We have stayed in in New York.
Very Clean, great facilities. Very pleased with our stay. Will return.

We go every year to NYC and normally stay at the Afinia Suite Hotels.
However this year we stayed at the Benjamin , must say am so glad we did.
It certainly is a lovely relaxed hotel with comfortable sized rooms and a well equipped kitchen .
I love the restaurant , The National ,which is a great place to meet up with friends for a quick drink or a delicious meal .
The location is so central right on 50th and Lexington, with easy walks to Bloomingdale's , 5th Ave and Grand Central.

Will certainly book again for next year.

Room Tip: Being NYC , i would definitely opt for the back rooms as they are surprisingly quiet.

The Benjamin hotel is superb and beyond clean everything is immaculate and the staff are brilliant. I would definitely re-book there. It is close to 5th avenue for shopping and you can walk straight down to Central Park and the subway is 5 minutes away to access 9/11 and other areas of New York. Yellow cabs are also available in abundance and the doorman will hail one for you as nothing is too much trouble. Beware don't use any other taxi but the yellow ones as the private ones will charge double. On the whole though our stay at The Benjamin Hotel was a fantastic experience and New York is a must and I will definitely repeat it

The location was great!! We usually stay at the Waldorf . So this is a new hotel for us. The Benjamin's website for their dolls weekend is so amazing we switched our usual venue ,but so disappointing. None of what I ordered for the girls happens without me having to call and request what I had already paid for every step of the way. The doorman and bellman were super staff members.. Had it just been my husband and me it would have been good. Just not anywhere the service as expected from web for american girl dolls .
