“The Dream Downtown is luxury, comfort & beautiful all in one”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 2, 2012

I stayed at the Dream Downtown for the first time when it had just opened back in July 2011. There were still some areas that had not been opened yet but I could tell right away this was going to be a place I would enjoy. From hanging out at the pool to the quality of the food to the nightlife at PHD. I believe I have been back about 8-10 times since then. Every single time I have stayed here it was been a top notch experience. The staff is so friendly and helpful, from the doormen all the way up to management. I travel a lot for business and the Client Services staff is the best I have had the pleasure of dealing with. They are very responsive and so accommodating to any requests you may have as a business traveler. All in all I would recommend staying here to anyone. It has something to enjoy for all!

Friendly staff, from doorman to management! Definitely recommend it. Great location, subway is at the corner. Walking distance to great restaurants too! Will definitely go back and stay there whenever in NYC!

Beautiful people, beautiful decor and everything you need all in one. This hotel was perfectly located between the best dining, shopping, theater and all the city has to offer. They are all about service and making you feel at home. The food is amazing and the nightlife is exciting and glamourous. David Sparks is the night manager and he is my hero! He made what could have been a rough trip turn into a wonderful week. THANKS!

Room Tip: stay on the 9th floor or lower because the club could keep you awake if you are not partaking in the...

It's counter-intuitive to rave about a hotel you want to keep all to yourself, but weary business travelers and vacationers alike should have the benefit of the doubt that this is a great hotel in a great location with a great staff. Opt-in for guaranteed access to their über-hip club or rest easy. It's entirely up to you.

Had a 2 night stay in Jan 2012. Property and rooms are beautifully designed and live up to expectations. Great beds! My impression of staff was somewhat inexperienced, not 5-star level, but very friendly nonetheless. The lobby bar is understaffed and wait times are just too long. In general all extra's (lobby drinks, mini-bar, restaurant breakfast/dinner etc) are overpriced which leaves you feeling a little "exploited". Having said this, none of this spoiled my stay, and I would certainly recommend the Dream Downtown for a NYC stay. There is a great rooftop area with a bar and gorgeous (outdoor) pool, which in itself would be a reason to stay (or for me, to come back) here during the summer months.

I cannot imagine a more positive experience in any hotel I ave ever stayed at than my time spent at this hotel (over 30 nights in the last yr alone) and I travel globally for both business and pleasure throughout the year. The staff are some of the most friendly and accomodating staff I have come in contact with, from the moment you walk in the front door you always recieve a wam greating and offering of assistance, the front desk area is always staffed with enough people to handle the line and i cannot ever remember having to wait long to check in or to be assisted with a request. Early on in my stay Teresa Lauswell - Director of Guest Services actually sought me out and thanked me for numerous nights spent s hotel and for my business - that has never happened to me in any hotel i havever stayed! They go above and beyond to make you feel like you are at home including sending several hand written notes in my room as a show of thanks. The expeirence and service was so much better than any i have recieved at the big corporate chain hotels. The property is also amazing - it is certainly not your typical NYC hotel, from the mood lighting to the decor, to the music pumped into the lobby -it makes for an enjoyable time, all around. I also have to mention how pleased i am with the quality and cleaniness of the rooms, with all brand new fictures and amenities. In closing woulld suggest this hotel as the number one place to stay in NYC-hands down.

This was my first trip to the city and I couldn't imagine staying in a more perfect spot. The staff is top notch and the customer service was great! The room was clean, plush, and had everything I needed. As a first timer in NY I needed a little guidance on subway navigation - - the front desk made several suggestions and then printed directions for me. The proximity to Chelsea Market makes this hotel an even more appealing destination...not that it needs help with appeal.
