I stayed here for three nights at the start of my 3-month excursion around the US. It was just what I needed after an eight-hour flight and one-hour subway ride with a ridiculously heavy suitcase. The place is down a quietish street, so the cacophony of NYC activity is still audible but not enough to prevent sleep.
The queen room was a little small - fine for me as a solo traveller, but it would have been boxy for a couple. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was spacious, modern and fully stocked. The TV had a good selection of channels and the wifi signal was strong.
The staff were friendly and helpful. There is a restaurant next to the hotel, but I didn't use it - there are so many great places to go in Manhattan. I was disappointed that breakfast wasn't included in the room rate, although there was a facility to make hot drinks in the lobby.
I booked this room at a discount through a third party website. In all honesty, if I'd paid full price for it I would have felt ripped off. It's a nice enough place, though, and very conveniently located - great for a short stay.
