Coppelia is a fantastic diner-style restaurant serving tasty Cuban food morning, noon, and night. The menu has a good selection to choose from whether you're craving a big meal or just a snack or sandwich. We have always had great service here, even when the place gets busy, and it's also fun to try the South American beers on the menu that aren't super common in NYC like Quilmes and Aguila.
We come here for breakfast often and always enjoy grabbing a quick, low-key bite and starting the day with a cafe con leche. Coppelia does get busy both on weeknights and weekends, but we've never had to wait more than ten minutes for a table and just passed the time at the bar. Besides, for the lively but not rowdy atmosphere, delicious food, and great value we'd happily wait much longer!
The only reason Coppelia gets a 4 out of 5 is that the main courses are tasty but a little pricey for what they are. If you stick to ordering a bunch of appetizers, sides, and splitting a sandwich or two, you can put together a great variety of plates to enjoy for not a lot of money.
