“A Delightful Stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 7, 2013

My mother and myself stayed for a week during Thanksgiving. We arrived on Sunday afternoon and from our first contact with staff (doormen) and frontdesk I got a good feeling that we had made the right choice. Like other reviews the staff are the hotels biggest asset (Excellent). We were on the 7th floor - Bedroom & Bathroom - spotless modern warm and very comfortable and for NY standards size not bad. We were entitled to continental breakfast each morning - choice not bad - food quality and quantity excellent. We ate two evenings in the hotel and again the quality of the food was excellent freshly made with a little twist. The location suited us as we were away from the hustle and bustle of entrances of hotels in midtown, which would not have suited my mam. China Town is a couple of minutes walk away - looked great fun however one look was enough for my Mam. As with other reviewers sub way 2 mins from Hotel (remember when exiting go for Canal St/Walker St). We could get to Macys using subway in under 10mins start to finish swapping from blue line to orange. (i.e. thats how I worked the system). We had a lovely stay in the hotel where my Mam felt totally safe and secure (i.e. for reference she is mid 70's). Another credit for the hotel was that locals in tribeca seem to use the hotel for breakfast and brunch - in addition there were a number of guests staying in the hotel who were regular visitors (stay 6-8 times a year). Good recommendation. Overall I have no hesitation recommending the hotel - certainly good value for money.

Room Tip: If staying over weekend ask for higher floor due to music in louge and bar - thats if you want an ea...

Great hotel, clean rooms and far far away from the hustle and bustle of mid-town which is a welcome reprieve. Subway is only a half block from front entrance making trip uptown or into Brooklyn a breeze/

Rooms are clean of average size, the staff is absolutely white glove OUTSTANDING and the price/value here is fantastic for NY (nice Times Square area hotels were approx $100 more per night plus the high tax makes this an outstanding value)

Tribeca neighborhood is worth exploring and would recommend this place for high quality plus value stay in New York. Newer hotel (opened approximately in year 2000) with hip/cool/trendy lounge area.

Room Tip: Do not get room next to elevator, whining sound from the elevators can be heard inside of room

My husband and I stayed at the Tribeca Grand over Thanksgiving Weekend. We arrived around 5 or so at night. The doormen were available to open doors for us and the pleasant front desk staff greeted us warmly and sent us up to our 7th floor room. The room was well appointed and had all the comforts needed for a weekend away from home. There was coffee, tea and hot chocolate available 24/7. The coffee also TASTED excellent. The hot chocolate was a nice touch after a freezing day in NYC. The clean bathroom had a robe, ample towels and toiletries. My husband referred the the bed as "the nest". It was made with a thick soft white duvet. Very warm and comfortable. The hotel is located near a subway stop. We used the A train to get around. I suggest getting to know the subway, if you are depending on cabs from this hotel you will be spending $$$. However, the subways are more convenient IMO and much quicker and efficient also. No traffic on a subway. Also Subway Sandwich is across the street. We got a quick breakfast there in the AM before we went out for the day. Tribeca Tavern is across the street, a nice place for a beer with the hipsters. We did not eat or drink at the hotel so we cannot comment on this. The secret sauce for our stay was the Wifi connection. My husband was able to stream Netflix to his laptop, we had LESS lag then at home. I have NEVER experienced this at any hotel before. Stay at the Tribeca Grand, you won't be disappointed.

Room Tip: We enjoyed our room on the seventh floor. The view wasn't all that interesting, but we didn'...

Had a brief yet memorable stay at the Tribeca Grand recently. Wonderful staff and amazing accommodations! Room 206 is absolutely fantastic with floor to ceiling windows with killer downtown views. Spacious and well appointed with business area including mac computer and wonderful amenities from the Malin + Goetz porducts to the sumptuous Frette robe. Felt like a rock star - thanks TG!

This was our first experience at the Tribeca Grand, but it won't be our last! The staff was kind & helpful, and our room was comfortable. Typical hotel rooms in NYC are teensy, but the Tribeca Grand's room had a desk, comfortable reading chair, and two bedside tables. The bathroom was really cool (should have taken a pic) and the mini fridge in our room was great to have.

Room Tip: Although there are only 8 floors, the higher ones offer a better view.

Great staff that really make you feel welcome. The rooms are good, not excellent, but the over all impression of the hotel is great!
Just around he corner (west) there are plenty of fun breakfast places!
I had a hick up at check out and they tried to make me pay much more then I should... But after a few email they fixed it... Boring end to a good stay..

Stayed at TriBeCa Grand for 4 nights & loved it. The service was great, the concierge was really helpful when tourist info was required. The bar & restaurant are fantastic. It's in a great location & the subway is easily accessible to get anywhere in the City. It has a really eclectic & comfortable feel about it.
