“right in the heart”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 2, 2005

Stayed for 3 nights and had an absolutely great time...It is in the middle of all the action, close to the subway, and great restaurants. We were on the 29th floor and although we faced the construction--it did not bother us at all. The rooms are nice sized and very clean---The staff were very friendly and helpful to all of our questions---I would definetly stay there again

Spotless rooms, extra-comfortable beds and pillows, decent work space, good location. Would definitely stay there again.

We stayed at this hotel from the 10th to the 13th of August and had a great time! We had stayed at the Ritz Carlton in Battery Park for the first half of our trip and I found this hotel to be quite comparable!
After reading many reviews on this site we did ask for a room that wasn't facing the construction and for something above the 30th floor, on the 35th floor we didn't hear a thing from outside! The rooms were clean and spacious in the deluxe catagory and we were happy with the turn down service every night!
The continental breakfast was good in the morning, thank goodness it was free with Hhonors points though cause I wouldn't have paid $36.00 american for two people to eat breakfast!
It is in a great location, although times square was a bit busy for me! There is lots of resturants available just outside the door and two movie theatres!
I would reccomend this hotel for families as it is a great location, and the restaurants all around are family oriented and reasonably priced (applebee's, chevy's).
A great overall experience, I would recommend to anyone!!

We were there 8/19 - 8/22. Check in was extremely smooth and we were given a room on the 42nd floor facing north. Valet parking and bellhop was very efficient. Quality of the room was good and the room was clean.

Cannot beat the location. Saw Chitty which is right across the street. I highly recommend to anyone looking to take kids to a broadway show. My 4 & 7 year old were kept engaged throughout the show and really enjoyed it.

We stayed at the Hilton Times Square from August 6th until August 12th, as first timers in NYC we found this hotel to be a perfect spot for tourists. The rooms were large and clean and there was no problem when we asked to be relocated to the 41st floor. We had breakfast at Strombollis across the street, do visit the Creamery opposite the hotel, the ice cream is fab and the theatre hosting Chitty was right next door - this is a fantastic show. One final good point with regard to the hotel is its bar, it was atmospheric, candle lit at night and a nice way to finish the evening.

I stayed on a Saturday night and couldn't ask for more with a room. It was very large and clean. My room was a standard, with a king size bed. There was enough room at least one cot. The view was just spectacular, it over looked the southern part of New York, could even see the Hudson River. The linens were really nice and the bed seemed new, more fluffy than some of the hotels.

The Check In was smooth. I only had a slight problem, I wanted to put my water in the mini bar fridge so I took out their two of their bottles, I then saw on my bill I was charged for two bottles. I was told there is a sensor in the mini bar. So whatever you do don't take anything out of the fridge. The front desk understood and I wasn't charged but it's best to avoid any interaction with the minibar.

They give Neutrogena and Crabtree and Evelyn toiletries which are a plus.

I stayed on Saturday night so I didn't hear any noise from the construction which probably goes on during the week so it would be best to check about that if you are planning a weekday stay.

They have 24 hour bell hops that watch all the guests, come in and out.

The location as mentioned in other reviews is really great.

I have stayed at the Hilton Times Square at least 10 times and have always been pleased. The staff is always helpful and courteous, the Concierge is always willing to give his personal insider information, the room service meals are good and you can't beat the location.
