“HiltonTimes Square is a solid choice”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 2, 2014

Hotel is centrally located in Times Square, rooms are nice and clean. One day after running around the city, we returned to the hotel and found that housekeeping had never made up our room. I called housekeeping and they sent someone immediately to clean the room. When they were done they came to the lobby to let us know it was complete. Later that evening when we returned to the hotel after dinner, we found that they had delivered a complimentary wine and cheese tray to apologize for the oversight. Very nice surprise.

Obviously didn't deal with the highly-rated Raquel at the front desk and was not given any information that was helpful - just given key and price for valet parking. However, the room was ready at 1 p.m., on the 30th floor with a great view. This hotel is extremely clean and bed/pillows comfortable. I never even heard a siren throughout the night although I'm sure given the craziness right outside the hotel door there were plenty! The valet and bell staff on the first floor were much friendlier and more helpful than front desk staff. There definitely needs to be a sign on 42nd Street entrance or at least on the reservation confirmation email that the valet parking is on 41st Street. I double parked on 42nd and ran in to find out where to go - a bit stressful given the traffic. Don't know if I'd stay here again as it's really not off the beaten path of Times Square. The shock of merely walking out the front door was a bit jolting at times. Don't bother with Ripley's Believe it or Not as you can just people watch and be just as amazed (just kidding - we didn't even go to Ripley's...). If I do stay in Times Square again though, I'd stay here.

Room Tip: 30th floor facing 42nd Street had a great view including the Hudson River in distance and cool gold...

We stayed for 2 nights on the 30th floor. 2 Adults and 2 kids. Booked an Allergen free room. Room was clean and newly updated, which is so important to me. The beds and pillows were quite comfortable. The room was spacious and considering we were on a busy street, we did not hear the noise from the street, except for sirens, of course. Lobby was nice, right off the bar. Bar drinks were quite good. If you don't like crowds, then you may not like the location because when you come out of main doors, it's super busy. We really enjoyed the location and the action of it all. I would definitely consider returning.

After checking out and flying the first leg of our trip home, I was in airport waiting to board again when I suddenly realized I left a cosmetic bag full of expensive products hanging on shower curtain rod. I called the Hilton and they connected me with Jose in Security. After I explained my situation, he took my cell # and in 15 minutes I received his return call. He had my cosmetic bag, gave me a tag number and the email contact in Security who would return my item. Thanks again, Jose. We will definitely return to the Hilton Times Square. The location, service, concierge and room accommodations were all top notch.

Room Tip: Corner suites are large with a great view of Times Square. Check frequently for better room rates.

The hotel has such friendly staff -- everyone greets you and asks how your day has been. It is so conveniently located and the room was very comfortable. They even upgraded our room upon arrival. The only thing that would have made it even better would have been free WiFi in the room - but it was available in the lobby. It was nice that there was a Starbucks right across the street, too.

A great location, less than half a block from the 42nd Street subway (on the 'E' line, so ideal for JFK airport), in the heart of the theatre district with plenty of eating and entertainment options nearby. The views are great (the hotel starts on the 22nd floor of the building, if I remember correctly), and my room was standard Hilton - comfy, nice bed, decent size. Also very Hilton - the experience was very impersonal. Apart from the receptionist when I checked in, I didn't speak to a single other person. Even check-out was done via the TV screen in my room. Still, if all you need is a quiet, comfortable room for the night, this fits the bill. One small suggestion - with the fantastic views of the Manhattan skyline, it would be great if the windows opened slightly wider - wide enough to poke a camera lens through?

This hotel is situated in a wonderful location with stunning views from the hotel rooms across the city. It is walking distance to many of the sights and the metro is on the same block with trains to most other destinations. Despite being right above Time Square my room was quiet. The staff were very helpful. I would strongly recommend staying at the Hilton Times Square.
