“Great place to bring in the New Year!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 1, 2014

My wife and I decided to enjoy the Christmas holidays and welcome the New Year in New York City, making the Hilton Times Square our base. We could not have chosen a more central place to balance great shopping and with fantastic night life for the season. We came across a very accommodating staff that did their utmost to meet every request we put to them. On another note, we also brought in the New Year at crazy party at the Liberty Theater, which was in the same building and they gave special treatment to guests at the Hilton Times Square - an unexpectedly nice touch. We'll definitely come again!

We have stayed at this hotel for over ten years and this was the best experience yet. The staff remember us from previous visits and do all they can to make our experience perfect. Front Office Manager Chad Nathan quickly responded to our requests and made sure we had the perfect room, as well as a wheelchair for a family member. Sarah Kriger assisted with room changes and Bellman Brian became our new best friend helping with luggage, numerous shopping bags and snacks! This hotel has become our home away from home and we cannot wait to return!

Room Tip: Request a high floor on the 42nd Street side. Great to people watch all of the activity below.

To start: I am a HHonors Gold member. I was e-mailed before arriving at the hotel asking if I had any requests. I requested extra towels and a view of the Empire State Building. Both were delivered as well as an upgrade to a Deluxe King on Floor 42. Couldn't be happier with the room, it felt like a home away from home! The bed and pillows were super comfortable and the black out drapes were perfect! As a Gold member we received complimentary breakfast which was a phenomenal buffet. We actually used it as our lunch twice (since it's served till noon on weekends) and saved ourselves from the high NY food prices. The only minor issue was having to wait for a table for breakfast at times. Front desk, wait staff, and everyone else were always smiling even if we didn't need anything. Special shout out to the staff member who discussed MJ with us in the elevator, she didn't have to speak to us but she did!
The Times Square location was perfect for our needs. With subway entrances on two corners of the street it was easy to get on any line and easily get right back to the hotel! It does get a little crowded when walking back later at night just because it's Times Square. Also, the theater for Newsies was literally right behind the hotel!!! I thought about trying a different Hilton property on our next NY trip but I don't know why I would. We will be back to the Hilton Times Square!

Room Tip: Higher floors facing south can see the empire state building. Beautiful @ night.

We love this hotel & its personnel. Great location, first rate service in every respect, & we are treated like family. We always enjoy seeing Gazi in the restaurant during breakfast, & we thank Chad, the front desk manager, for helping us out with a recent problem, which was not of Hilton's making. We always know we can expect only greatness from this property, & that's why we keep coming back.

Awesome location , we walked to Madison square garden in about 8 minutes, and to Bryant park to go ice skating and many other places. Beautiful room, with a great view and very modern. All of the staff we had contact with from the bellman to the front desk were extremely helpful and kind. More than happy with our stay here, We will definitely stay here again!!

Room Tip: We stayed on the 42nd floor and the view was great

My wife and I recently stayed overnight at the Times Square Hilton so we could attend a Broadway show and enjoy a day in New York. Our stay could not have been more enjoyable. The staff was extremely courteous, the room immaculate, and the breakfast buffet delicious. We can't wait to stay there again!

Room Tip: Our room was on the 37th floor. The view was great.

Even on the 38th floor you could hear sirens and noise from 42nd Street. The elevators to take you to the lobby take a VERY long time, then you must take another elevator to your room. To check-in or out use 41st street NEVER 42nd, you can't stop there. The hotel should use the 41st street address and NOT 42nd Street.

We at the Hilton Times Square want to first and foremost thank you for your posting your comments in regards to your stay. Reviews posted allow us to review our performance and make the experience better for our guests. I apologize that you were disturbed by the outside noises of 42nd Street. Normally the windows do offer a sound barrier from outside noise. If possible please let me know what room you were in so we can check those windows. Unfortunately during our busy peak season guest may experience some delays with our elevators due to the high volume of traffic. We cannot change our street address but I have taken steps to better clarify the location of our valet pick up/drop off location on 41st Street on our website. We appreciate your feedback and we understand that you have many options to chose from when making your travel plans. I hope we have a chance to welcome you back to our property.
