“Hilton Times Square gets all the basics right.”

Location location location. There is none better for all the lights, and the best west side subway (A/C/E/1-2-3 lines) to traverse from South Ferry, NYU, Greenwich Village, Herald Square, Columbus Circle at Central Park, and beyond. The rooms are everything you need for a super comfortable NYC stay - the beds are as comfortable as they come with perfectly prepared linens and pillows. There are plenty of power outlets to charge your various cameras/phones/computers/etc. The bathrooms are functional and spacious. The rooms are very quiet (we were on the 42nd floor), and the hotel places you deceptively away from all the action despite its proximity on the door step. A great city break hotel for the family - we will gladly book again.

Room Tip: Ask for a high floor. The King bed + rollaway is a great option for couples with 1 child. If you a...

This is my second time at the Hilton Times Square. The first in 2008 with my husband and son was great, lovely big room, great views etc but this time was extra special because it was a surprise trip for my mother's 80th birthday. I had seen Chad Nathan's name mentioned on Trip Advisor and emailed him simply to ask if he could keep any eye on the booking (booked as a flight/hotel package through British Airways) to see if a nice room with a view was available as my Mother had never been to the US before and as it was her birthday. Chad replied straight away saying he had earmarked a lovely room for us and would do what he could to make our stay special. Well he certainly did that! Our room was on the Executive Floor, 4308 and this room must have one of the best views of the city - Empire State to the left and Hudson to the right. The rooms have been refurbished since I was last there and my mum was so impressed with everything. Check in was effortless, the room was ready for us even though we were earlier than normal check-in time and when we came back to the room later that evening Chad had even arranged for a glorious chocolate cake with 'Happy Birthday' and a candle on it to be placed in the room. We thanked him the next morning and again he was so friendly and helpful and gave us directions to the theatre to book tickets and even came down to the front of the hotel with us to point us in the right direction! I cannot recommend this hotel enough to anyone thinking of staying in NYC - it is so central in Times Square (yes it is mad outside on the street but so calm and peaceful inside the hotel), you can walk or take the subway (only a few doors down) to everywhere, the rooms are big and spacious, clean with great views and all the staff we encountered, front desk, concierge, doormen, bellmen were all so helpful and friendly. But, a special mention must go to Chad Nathan for making this stay so extra special for me and my Mum. If I come back to NYC again, I will definitely be staying at Hilton Times Square.

Room Tip: Room 4308 - awesome view!

We recently stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn on 42nd Street at Broadway. It's a hidden gem just a few doors down from Madame Tussad's and across the street from BB King's. The updated decor looks great. The staff is wonderful especially Chad. He was most helpful when we checked in but even more helpful when we left a couple things in the drawer when we checked out and he personally retrieved them for us.

Room Tip: Ask for the uptown view high up for spectacular views!. Otherwise the downtown view is quieter with...

Disappointed that our friends who are non-elite with Hilton had a room on an upper floor with Times Square view while we Gold members had a lower floor and a rather ugly view...
Room was missing wash cloths, light above bed wasn't working, clock could not be plugged in and some bedside outlets non-working.
