“Nice place to stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 8, 2013

I highly recommend Hiton times square to anyone staying in New York. It is centrally located which makes it easy to move around by subway. The rooms l are very well designed and make excellent use of the space available. I traveled with my friends for thanksgiving holiday. The room decor was contemporary and clean with modern facilities such as a flat screen tv, iPod connectivity and free wifi. There was enough storage space. Overall I found it provided everything I needed, nothing I didn't and represented excellent value for money and I have no hesitation recommending.

We chose this hotel based on Tripadvisor reviews, whilst being very typical of a chain in decor, ie bland, the room was exceptionally spacious and the bed was extremely comfortable. The doormen and reception staff were great, very welcoming, always smiling and ready to assist. If the decor was brightened up from the bland shades of brown and cream I would give this 5 stars.
The location is fabulous, walking distance to Central Park & Times Square. We didn't use the restaurants so cannot comment on food quality and service.

Room Tip: High Floor overlooking 42nd Street = Fabulous Views

This is not your normal "full service" Hilton but it is more than acceptable for the heart of NYC. Located in the middle of Times Square you take an elevator to get to the lobby. Valet parking is available but it takes 30 min to get your car back. Rooms are small but modern and my room had a great view of the city. Price was outrageous but I was traveling for business and this is NYC.

Thank you for posting your experience with us on Tripadvisor. These comments give us a chance to improve the service our team provides to our guest. I apologize that you were not fully satisfied with your stay. I am glad you liked the decor of our newly renovated rooms and that you had a great view. We offer as a courtesy to our guest valet parking with an off-site company that we contract. There are many options available for parking in this area. In the future we would be happy to assist with finding parking alternatives for you. In regards to our room size we pride ourselves on having the largest room in the Times Square area at 350 sq. ft. We deeply value you business and realize that there are many other locations to choose from. We thank you again for choosing us and hope that you would consider the Hilton Times Square again and give us a change to turn your opinion of us around. Please feel free to contact me directly.

This hotel is in a really great location, because it's out of the hustle and bustle of Times Square but also within walking distance of it. The staff are really great, especially the concierges. They will go out of their way to give you restaurant recommendations and tour bookings. When I was there, there was a lot of renovations going on in the lobby so it was a bit of an eyesore, but that's probably gone now.

Our room was massive, which is surprising for New York. The carpet in our room was very grimy and it seemed like it wasn't cleaned often, unfortunately. But I was very impressed by how the room blocked out the city noise and was very peaceful.

I got this hotel from a Hotwire booking and I was 100% satisfied. Rooms in NYC are small and this room was not small at all. It had a lot of space and a refrigerator. Pillows were so comfortable and so was the bed. The lobby at the entrance level was so clean and smelled wonderful. The staff was wonderful ... Extremely friendly and helpful. I always have water at my bedside at night and had forgot to get a bottle upon retiring for bed. I called the desk to ask where I could get some water and they just said they'd bring me some. So at 3am someone brought me water. There are 2 entrances..for a more Low key exit, use the other door, there aren't sales people trying to sell you stuff.

Located 100 yards from Times sq subway and midway between 7th and 8th Avenues. Five minutes from 5th Avenue and also dozens of restaurants. Concierge was most helpful in advice regarding travel to Carlo's bakery (Cake Boss) in Hoboken (walk, ferry $9 each way, walk) which provided a superb mornings enjoyment

Comfy rooms you get what you pay for in Times Square. If you get a good deal it's is really worth staying here. Good bar but expensive good for people watching. Lovely rooms big t.v. Comfy beds try for a high floor
