“lovely brunch”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 5, 2013

I loved the French toast, and the guava and strawberry lemonades were fabulous. My husband really enjoyed his omelet, our guest very much liked the pasta with chicken, and the hamburgers looked so good I wished I had ordered one. Service was very good and the view of the river and the New Jersey skyline was just lovely. This is a great choice after a walk on the esplanade or a trip out to the Statue of Liberty.

“Good food with a view.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 5, 2013

We had dinner at this place on our first night in New York.
Very friendly staff and good food at a reasonable price.
Lovely views across the river and taunting the many joggers with our fries was very entertaining.
The surrounding area is nice and clean, and family friendly, even late at night.
Highly recommended.......

“Location, Location, Location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 5, 2013

Perfect location! Right on the river bank with only the Esplanade walkway separating you from the Hudson river. Impressive views on Jersey City at the opposite bank.
Very friendly staff. Good food. Quaint atmosphere. During the summer time it must be a delight to have a meal here al fresco! Blue and white table cloths.
In a quality restaurant, it is our opinion that music can add to the ambiance but should not really be noticed, this was not the case here and that would be our only minus for this place.

“Glorious view”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 2, 2013

We went to the 9/11 Memorial and then went to Battery park city for a walk and drink. We discoveted this place and sat outside in the sun and 64 degree beautiful marathon weather. We planned on only drinks but the food looked great so we had a lovely brunch. Great views of the Statue of Liberty and Jersey. Our server was excellent. The quiche, chicken dumplings and key lime pie were all tasty.

“Great view, great food and great service...what more can you ask for”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 24, 2013

We were a group of 10 enjoying birthday celebrations. Some others of the party had made reservations for 7pm for Friday evening but as our plans changed they called to try move the reservation to 5pm. No problem they said, for a Friday and a group of 10 I would say that is pretty impressive.

We arrived and were seated, albeit a little squashed, but it was a still acceptable given there were 10 of us. The views were to die for, Hudson River, Statue of liberty and schooners passing by.

Service was impeccable, very attentive and very pleasant. The server, sorry forgot his name, was very patient with us explaining the menu, describing the dishes and offering recommendations.

We had some appetizers, calamari, spinach dip and zucchini squash all delicious but the best was the entree........

I went with the fish and chips, the Sam Adams batter sounded too good to turn down. The server mentioned it was a favorite of the Knicks players that come in and I can understand why. It was phenomenal. Coming from England I am particular about my fish this was to die for. Very succulent cod with just a touch of batter, the fish was delicious and broke apart, it was more fish than batter.

We were constantly checked on and offered refills on drinks but we were all too full for dessert.

I will be definitely returning with my husband.

Thank you for choosing our restaurant to help celebrate! We truly appreciate your great words and recommendations here on TripAdvisor.
