“Either Location is Great!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 11, 2012

I think Flex Mussels is my favorite restaurant in the city, and because of me, for a lot of other people too!
I've eaten there (both locations) I think more than any other nice restaurant since it's opened. The service, quality of food and price point are all right on - I've yet to have a bad experience dining here. (and as a plus, they offer complementary still OR sparkling water - as a Seltzer junkie, it's a big plus for me).
The Mussel pots are big for 1 person, I usually split some oysters, a soup, truffle fries and 1 pot if I'm going with a friend, which leaves just enough room to not feel too full to order the amazing donuts for dessert.

“For Mussel lovers only!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 25, 2012

My family loves mussels so this was a great place for us. Pleasant staff and nice atmosphere. They don't rush you through dinner and you get plenty to eat

“Great experience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 13, 2012

Had seen the show on TV and decided to try it out during a recent stay in NYC. Service was great, tons of different mussel sauces. HIGHLY recommend.
Dessert menu a little lacking, but the fried whoopie pie was worth a try.
Would definitely return

“Flex Mussels”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 5, 2012

You would have to like mussels or seafood. They had some very imaginative sauces for the mussels. We had veggies on the side ( for all to share) and we were stuffed from the mussels. we were impressed. haven't had fresh mussels like that in the San Francisco Bay area.

“Our new favorite place!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 26, 2012

If you're a fan of Belgian style moules & frites you'll love this place. Pots of mussles prepared loads of ways and at a reasonable price (all under $25). Great micro-brew selection. We were steered towads the donuts for dessert but will try the deep fried whoopie pie next time. We can't wait to go back. A must if you're in Cheslea or the Union Square area. Not much esle beside s mussels and some fish (maybe there was one chicken dish) but thats the point!
