The staff at the hotel are exceptionally friendly and helpful. The hotel is also conveniently located and the rooms are comfortable. The rooftop bar is very nice and the views from the rooftop bar are great.

Stayed in the Hyatt Herald Square for 4 night in May. The hotel is modern and well looked after and the staff were all really friendly and helpful. Three of us stayed in a twin room and I thought there was plenty of space for our bags and to move about in. As our room was at the front we also had a view of the Empire State Building which was a bonus. Best part was the rooftop bar which offered great drinks and amazing views. The hotel is in a really good location, accessible to wherever you want to go. I would definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: Ask for a front facing room for a view of the Empire State Building

Great hotel with excellent service, well located near Macy's and Penn Station. Clean, pretty, newly decorated rooms. Quiet contemporary hotel right in the middle of Manhattan. Would definitely stay there again.

We recently stayed at the Hyatt Herald Square for 3 nights. We found the location to be absolutely perfect for all that we wanted to do and see. The room was small but was perfectly adequate for all our needs. We had first class service from all staff members that we encountered, the front desk staff were very helpful. The room and area are very quiet which meant we slept very well each night. We very much enjoyed the bar up on 20, we started off each evening with a drink or two admiring the beautiful views. We would highly recommend this hotel for value and location.

My wife and I spent three nights here earlier this week. We experienced a few blips in regard to the room, when we checked in on Sunday evening, but each issue was addressed to our satisfaction by 9:00 AM Monday.

As I am a Diamond level member in Hyatt's GP program, we were able to be upgraded to a suite on the hotel's 18th floor. This was a true two room suite, with modern furnishings and decor. Not exactly consistent with our taste, but the accommodations were roomy and comfortable. Also, the bath and toilet areas were roomy, and private. The suite faced north, and there were nice views of the Empire State and Chrysler buildings.

The breakfast offerings were broad, and the servings were ample and well presented. The service was attentive and very good.

Overall, the hotel staff, as noted in other comments was both enthusiastic and helpful.

We would certainly stay here again, on a future trip to NYC.

Room Tip: My recommendation would be to request a room facing north on a high floor.

Recently stayed at Hyatt- Herald Square for 6 days and it was fantastic. Hotel staff were excellent especially rooftop barman Lex, very pleasant, the rooftop bar was fantastic with the Empire state building right in front of you. This place is so central ,5 th Avenue around corner , madison square garden a stones throw away Maceys & JC Penney, and lots of other shops and Subway close by and lots of food , this hotel is great. Attended the Travel + Social Good New York hub announcement event hosted on a Tuesday, came with a friend for the talks and to network with other like minded people in the travel sector, and had a really lovely time. The view of the skyline and Empire State Building right above us as night fell was gasp inducing, breathtaking. Really great location, good food (mini hot dogs and croquettes) and great service as well. The staff seemed quite overwhelmed (the rooftop venue was overpopulated apparently) but took great care of us. Have to point out our server and the bartender Jordan for superb efforts as well, as he seemed to be both responsible for mixing cocktails, pouring beers, and bringing out food. Champion effort. Will definitely come back for brunch on a sunday or for mid-afternoon weekend drinks or happy hour. Top marks!
