As with many of the recent reviews, this hotel as both positives and negatives, though I believe that a number of the problems are due to the newness of the hotel, and are in the process of being rectified.
This is the second time i have stayed in Midtown while in NYC, the previous visit was at the near by Hampton Inn. Both hotels are pretty close in terms of quality, though once the issue are resolved I think the Hyatt will have it hands down.
Close to a lot of the major attractions; Empire State, Times Square and Madison Sq Garden/Penn Station.
Close to a number of subway lines, so you can get pretty much anywhere else that you want to go within 15 mins.
Modern rooms, plugs a plenty and where you might actually need them.
Great bathroom with lots of amenities.
Good quality internet which is free, finally US hotels are catching up with the rest of the world.
Only one lift working until my last day, I believe it was being refurbished though no explanation, and was this really needed for such a new hotel.
The TV was a joke, also due to be rectified from conversations with staff.
Storage space is a bit limited, and was surprised that I had to ask for hanger considering there was somewhere to hang clothes.
Over all I was very happy with my stay and would consider it again when I am back in New York.
