“Fantastic Location - Super Small Rooms”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed yesterday NEW

We had a great stay at The Row. Rachel at check in was particularly friendly and welcoming. Fantastic location, very close to all the action of Times Square / Broadway. I will warn travellers though our room was super super small, to the point when we put down our luggage there was barely any room to walk at all. We had to jump over the bed to get to the bathroom haha. But honestly this didn't affect our stay, because when travelling as a couple you are only really in the room to sleep after a long incredible day of seeing all that NYC has to offer. Lots of options to eat nearby! I will say though I had a friend come and visit me and he was waiting in the lobby for us to come down the elevator and he was "moved along" also one time I forgot something in the room so left my husband in the lobby whilst I went back up to get it and he was also "moved along" Good for security I guess, but it did ruffle my friend and my husbands feathers as they had every right to be there. Over all my advice is - if you are travelling as a couple or with friends and just looking for an affordable room in a great location to rest your head at night, the ROW is perfect!

Staff super friendly and helpful. Love, love the elevator system. Works well with the high # of people staying at the hotel. Rooms and closet space small, but that's not unusual for NYC. Could not ask for a better location, right off TImes Square.

I've stayed here a couple times and love it. The staff are helpful. The hotel is nice and modern. The ROW is in a super convenient location, close to Times Square and walking distance to just about everything

The lobby area is great - a modern low cost take on the Ace Hotel and actually rather well done. Successful and sassy with great music - lounge or live - and a great intro. Lift system is good, but the corridors to the rooms are mixed - good murals but the dark dark walls and carpets don't hide the fact that expense has been spared. The rooms however are good. White walls good graphics a good bathroom and iron and all you need. However I would next time pay extra for a room with a city view - the inner facing rooms have an unpleasant aspect. Breakfast bar is great - initially a bit chaotic but the guts run a great system, they're friendly and the coffee and croissants are excellent. The reception team really redeemed the hotel at checkout. I was surprised to get a bill slipped under my door after midnight saying I'd been charged a daily "facilities charge" of $20 per day. Hadn't a clue what it was. Trip advisor informed me that others had been caught out too - the charge covers the "free" wifi, domestic and international calls from room phone and a baggage service. Anyway I complained at reception....And the guy halved the charge as a good will gesture, but said Expecia undercuts the hotel rate and tells you in the small print that you will revive a separate facilities charge which you have to pay on leaving. I never saw that! Anyway...If you book direct with the hotel its apparently included. So be warned as no one told me this at check - in.

A large, bustling hotel in a great mid town location, which was more than capable of handling the large number of visitors. The twin room was NY small but comfortable and the bathroom spotless. All the staff we met were polite, friendly and helpful. Will definitely stay again - great value for money.

overall good with 2 areas for improvement : the size of the rooms (definitely too small) and the hotel lobby which looks very much like a railway station hall due to people constantly coming in and out with their suitcases. Otherwise a good stay in a very well situated hotel.

It was ok, small rooms, you can hear everything from the hallway and rooms next door.
Bed was uncomfortable and small. Food choices were okay (good variety). No room service was a downside for me. Great location.
