“Great Stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed yesterday NEW

Location can not be beat, the price was fair, the rooms clean and the staff helpful. The rooms are not huge but large enough with enough amenities. It has a nice lobby with a newly added bar area and coffee bar. Good option to stay near Broadway.

Room Tip: We got the deluxe room which included wifi and a good view and just a bit larger. Worth the few extr...

Stayed recently for four nights. Had one double premium room and a twin single for teenage children. No problems with checkin or additional charges (as reported by other guests). Rooms were adequate with comfortable beds and clean bathrooms. Super location ideal for sightseeing. good value for money. No complaints and we would stay here again.

We stayed at the Row NYC for 3 nights 17th-20th December. The good - The location of the hotel is second to none, close enough to everything to be in walking distance, but not too close to be too noisy when you are trying to sleep. The hotel is modern, lovely design, and was generally a pleasant place to stay. Check in and check out was really quick and easy which was very appreciated.

Now for the bad. We stayed on floor 19. I am not sure if this is specific just to this floor, but every day without fail, we came across a cockroach or 2 outside the lift area. That is extremely concerning for a guest of the hotel to find this. We know we couldn't have been the only ones to find this as we'd often find a cockroach that had been stepped on. We only ever saw them just outside the lifts on the 19th floor, so I don't know what it is about that specific location but somewhere, there is an infestation. The room itself was quite clean. But I do not expect to come across cockroaches during my hotel stay, whether that is in the room or not. Also, the air con is extremely noisy which made it difficult to sleep, but the room is way too hot to sleep without it on. Therefore had to sleep with ear plugs in at night.
Furthermore, when I asked for an extra pillow, as the room had been made up with one pillow missing from one side of the bed, i ended up having to wait an hour for it. Which wasn't appreciated as I was incredibly jet lagged, and really needed to sleep.

All in all, the hotel served its purpose. The location was great, but not sure i'd stay again based on our recent stay.

The Row.

We stayed at the Row for Thanksgiving Weekend, 2014, to be in New York for the Macy’s Day Parade. It was just my husband and I, late 20’s, so we picked the Row based on location and price (booked through Travelocity). It was our first time in New York, but we travel quite often. From Wisconsin, so we were prepared for the cold.

We arrived 11/26 in the afternoon and our room was ready. It really was easy to fly into Newark, take the train to Penn Station, and Subway to the stop right outside the door of the hotel. We were happy our room was ready at 1pm already as it was pouring rain and we needed to freshen up in our room before venturing out. We were put on the 27th floor in a corner room. THE ROOM WAS NOT SMALL. It was perfect. 2 windows, both facing a different view, and a HUGE bathroom that had a heated floor I think or the heat at least warmed the floor with the way it was piped through. Perfect for us and WE BRING A LOT OF LUGGAGE when we travel. Hotel had great Breakfast options and coffee for purchase, bar was fun (we did not actually ever have a drink here) and lively at all times. Having security checking for room keys was just AMAZING. So happy they do this. Also, we loved the Elevator system and how you push the floor you are headed to and then only ride up or down with folks that are headed to the same. Thus, you save tons of time and awkward stops at floors when an elevator is already full.

Our room was wonderfully cleaned each day. We had an issue with the temperature in the room which was resolved by the following morning. Everyone we spoke to was very friendly! We slept well and enjoyed the blackout and electric shades in the room. Nice modern feel and great for the price.

The location is amazing. I mean honestly, it was COLD at the parade, so to be just a few blocks away and have access to come back to the room and change clothes, nap, or just warm up throughout the day was perfect. Recommended the hotel to friends and family already and my husband and I are going to come back this summer so we can see a few more things in New York that due to a migraine I was unable to enjoy this time around……. We will be here staying again.

If worried about room size, call and talk to the staff about what your needs are. As I said, we had a great closet, plenty of room to have both suitcases on the floor and still walk around, and a HUGE bathroom. I don’t believe in luck, I believe in blessings and maybe it was a blessing that we had a corner room---so ask for it!
We did peek in other rooms as we passed and yes some of them were much smaller but really, how long are you in there. Get out and enjoy the city that never sleeps.

Thanks Row for a great first time in NYC and for giving us the chance to sleep well and have a great “home” as we ventured out to see the Stature of Liberty, the 9/11 memorial and museum, Rockefeller Ice Skating and the Top of the rock, Central Park, etc……

Room Tip: Ask for a corner room. 2 great views down the streets. The higher the better as well!

The Tiny, tiny rooms were acceptable and the location was very good. However the noise of the heaters kept us awake all night. Eight nights of sleeplessness was too much. A family of two adults and two teenagers in minute room was ok as we were rarely in the room but it would have been nice to be able to sleep.

We made a quick overnight to NYC to see my son's acapella group open for the Rockettes at Radio City Music Hall. We took the train into the city and wanted to be close to Time Square. Expecting to spend a small fortune I was overjoyed when I found ROW NYC online. The reviews were great so we took a chance. EXCELLENT HOTEL, clean, efficient use of space, comfortable beds, quiet, safe location and the staff was friendly and helpful...morning coffee was delicious...and the price was unbeatable...within walking distance to everywhere we wanted to go. I would highly recommend ROW NYC for a quick visit or an extended stay in NYC...Will definitely return. Thanks.

Room Tip: We were on the 9th floor...quiet and sunny.
