“Fantastic hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 23, 2014

I also stayed here in November 2013 and it was great. The staff was very friendly and the rooms were fantastic. I really loved the computers (free) in the lobby. During my last stay (January 23rd till February 3rd) I had problems with very noisy guests in the room next to mine, but security took care of the problem within 10 minutes of my complaint, fantastic! Also the atmosphere during Super Bowl week and the day of the game was fantastic. I have 2 more bookings coming up and am looking forward to them.

I stayed from March 4th to March 12th. The staff were so great, saying good morning, good afternoon and good evening every time I walked into the lobby and they made me feel very welcome. The location is absolutely perfect. One block away from Times Square and just down the street from most of the Broadway theaters (which was super convenient for me). The computers and printer in the lobby also were put to great use by me.

A couple of things though:

-The Wi-Fi service is not free, which was an issue for me because travelling overseas, my international data charges are huge so i couldn't go on the internet unless I found Wi-Fi elsewhere. It was $14.95 for 24 hours. If you're OK with that though, go for it.

- Of the 8 days that I stayed there, I was out for the full day on two occasions. One of those times I returned at the end of the day to find housekeeping had not come. It wasn't a huge deal, but worth mentioning.

Overall, Row NYC is pretty good and I would stay there again.

This hotel ROW NYC is nowhere near a four star hotel. Two star at best. Old rooms are chipping paint, wall paper coming of walls. Hallway stained and dirty paint coming off walls as will. When using hair dryer electric circuit blow breaker shut to room off it's been off for 45 min, still no one here. Best thing is lobby and location. Have picture to email anyone to see. Contact PRICE LINE ifypuhad same problem they said only complaint will change star ratings

Dear Simplerboys,

Thank you for your candid review of our hotel. I am extremely sorry that you encountered an electrical problem during your stay and that we were unable to rectify it as quickly as you would have liked. I am, however, extremely glad that you were able to find the “silver lining” in our newly-renovated lobby and unbeatable location – we’re very proud of both. I sincerely hope that you will give us another opportunity to host you at a future date as we would love nothing more than to show you what the newly-launched Row NYC is all about!

This hotel was everything i expected it to be, it was clean, modern and in a PERFECT location just one block from Time Square and a short walk to Central Park and Fifth Avenue.

My only complaint was the noise from the heater which was really loud most nights.

However, I would definatley return to this hotel in the future!

Stayed here Oct 2013 (Milford Plaza), could not of stayed at a better hotel, very stylish, staff were amazing and very helpful, the lobby was amazing never stayed in such a high class looking hotel with a good price tag. The room which was on the 27th floor which took 2 seconds to get to in the fast lifts. The room was awesome it was huge (Queens) and looked very modern the bed was very comfortable and the view was breath taking and the blackout blind was very useful. The in-room climate control system was great as even though it was October it was still hot. One day I went out of the room and accidently left to room door open and security came up and checked it out luckily my partner was still in the room but this made us feel safe. In the lobby there were some new apple Macs and free printing which were extremely helpful because we had to check in for our flight online. The location of the Row (Milford) is probably the best part you are literally a 2 min walk from Times Square and a 30 second walk from all the theatres.
The housing keeping staff also need a medal because every day when we returned to our room after being out and about our room was always spotless looking like the day we checked in.

The only fault I could find was having to leave! If I ever return to NYC I would defiantly return to the Row!

Room Tip: Rooms on the Higher floors have better views, but all floors are quiet BOOK THIS HOTEL!

The Row NYC or formerly know as The Milford is ideally located on 8th and 44th street to all theatres and many wonderful restaurants. The rooms are small, as most affordable New York City hotel rooms, but we did have a great view. There were black out blinds to keep the room dark but don't plan on sleeping in late if you are a light sleeper due street noise, and housekeeping getting an early start. Beware if you need an extra firm mattress as our queen had a pillow top mattress. The elevators are faster and there is always a security person. You may be asked to produce your room key before entering the hotel lobby depending on the hour of the evening.

The hotel has new comfortable rooms and is very cozy. The location is superb just a few blocks away from many attractions such as Times Square, Fith Avenue, Empire State Building and Central Park, besides it is close to main subway stations.
