Harlem Grand was everything we needed and more. The room was lovely, beautifully decorated with old fashion charm and the athmosphere of the old house something totally different than a standard modern hotel in any city. All beautifully renovated and cared for by the owner Kellyn. She also really made an effort to make our stay pleasant and work smoothly in every way. She showed us around in the neighbourhood making sure we knew where we could take the bus, the metro and places to have breakfast and dinner. The metro station is really close to the BnB and the A train (express train) serves this station so it is very quick and easy (10 min) to get down to Midtown/42nd street and also quite easy to get all the way down to West village and lower Manhattan. The area was nice looking and we felt secure at any time walking around there. The area itself actually has a lot to offer. A nice park, and it is very close to the north end of Central Park, many good cafés and restaurants, music entertainment, an art museum, a very big cathedral etc etc. In short we got the best accomodation in a very nice area at a very good price. It was actually nice to get away from the stress and noice around Midtown, Times Square and all of that. It was a treat to come back to our quiet street to rest a bit before going out to dinner. We recommend this B&B to all who value and like all the things described here.
