Stayed here for Fri/Sat night in May. Room was comfortable, newly decorated and spacious (we were on the 14th floor) and didn't break the bank. Excellent location, immediately opposite The Book of Mormon show (so handily placed to enter the $32 front row ticket lottery that closes two hours before Showtime - we managed to get drawn out so got to buy 2 fantastic tickets for $64, probably about 10% of the normal price).
Hotel staff were friendly and helpful, the breakfast is the usual fayre of cereals, fruit, drinks, yoghurt and bakery items but plentiful and the 4pm free wine and snacks were very welcome. Complimentary coffee, crisps (that's chips to American readers) and biscuits were available all day.
We were celebrating our birthdays and let the hotel know in advance; when we arrived a birthday card and bottle of wine were waiting for us.
Would thoroughly recommend the Pearl and would happily stay there again if/when we return to New York.
