Description: Olio Pizza e Piu is an authentic Neapolitan pizzeria and restaurant located in the heart of the West Village, by award winning Pizza Master, Giulio Adriani. Giulio Adriani arrived in New York from Italy, eager to present his own style of Neapolitan pizza to New Yorkers who are mad for the stuff. Adriani learned the art of making traditional Neapolitan pizza from two of the greatest pizza masters in Italy, Gaetano Fazio and Antonio Starita. He is double certified as an authentic Neapolitan Pizza Maker by the Associazione Vera Pizza Napoletana and the Associazione Pizzaiuoli Napoletani, organizations for certification of authentic Neapolitan pizza. Adriani states that each pizzaiolo has their own signature, partly found in their own interpretation of the "dough point", the point at which kneading the dough ceases. Giulio finds his dough point sooner than most, kneading his dough less-- which results in a lighter, fluffier, more digestible crust.

“Not just pizza”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 8, 2013

We stopped here for breakfast on the fourth of July. We had the olive oil pancakes with lemon ricotta, blueberry compote and maple syrup along with an omelet that had pancetta and some wonderful cheese with roasted potatoes. We washed it down with the kiwi fizz drinks. This place was a great stop for us and I recommend giving it a try!

“Perfect way to spend a summer evening”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 1, 2013

I really enjoyed everything about Olio e Piu. The food was excellent, the Italian wine very reasonable and the atmosphere was perfect. We sat inside because the outdoor area was full, but the large open windows brought the evening breeze in and provided a lovely view. Our waitress was charming and attentive. We'll definitely go back!

“Great pizza”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 29, 2013

We liked the look of this restaurant and weren't disappointed.
We had to wait a couple of minutes at the bar to get a table outside but we didn't mind, and by the time we had ordered drinks, our table was ready.
Three of us had pizza (margherita and 4 cheese) and my partner had a pasta dish. We all enjoyed our meals very much. One of the best pizzas I have had.
Meals cost between $13 and $16 plus tax and tips.
Service was excellent and we enjoyed the outside setting, watching people go by.
Would definitely return.

“Really good restaurant - nice menu”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 26, 2013

I stopped here with my 2 teenagers while visiting Greenwich Village. It's got a lovely outdoor seating area - where we sat to enjoy the atmosphere. Excellent menu - from home made pizzas to great grilled food, pasta, etc. Also, nice wine list -- there are some excellent Italian wines from the Venezia, Friuli region that are hard to find on most menus and reasonable priced either by the glass or bottle. One son had the grilled chicken with arugula and potatos, which he devoured (amazing since he doesn't like potatoes or arugula), one had the margherita pizza and I had the 4 cheese pizza with the pear & arugula salad. All were terrific. The desserts were awesome -- lemon panna cotta, watermelon sorbet, and the chocolate cake. The service was good -- not superb -- but no complaints. I really enjoyed the people watching (Greenwich Village is great for this) and listening to all the great conversations (locals discussing film and theater projects, an art critic, tourists discussing what they had done that day ... ) -- so all in all, really a superb NY experience.
