“Amazing!!”

Stayed at the Cassa for 6 nights! It was amazing! The room and bathroom were huge!! Everything was immaculately clean! Giant TV, with lots of channels, super comfortable bed+pillows! The shower was enormous with a large rainfall type shower head+separate handheld. ALL staff were super friendly! Every employee we came across in the lobby, elevator, hallway, greeted us with a friendly hello, asking how we were enjoying our day. ALWAYS got a hi and bye any time we entered or left the building! Got a quick response to any thing we needed! Hotel is located in a perfect spot, easy walk anywhere, but very quiet too! Lots of places to eat up and down the street! We absolutely loved this hotel, and will be staying here again for sure!!

Our stay at The Cassa was short and sweet - 2 days only and we weren't at the hotel much but it has all the amenities you need in a great central location close to Times Square. We booked as it is part of the Viceroy hotel which is a very reputable brand. It was more on the simple side - not a lot of bells and whistles but it's perfect for a quick stay.

The location of this hotel is only a few short avenues from many Broadway theaters, Times Square, and other Mid-town attractions. Also just a block or two to subway lines, while not the best for getting around the city, do connect within a few stops to lines that do.

The hotel room was quite nice, modern, clean and very quiet even though my room faced 45 th Street. When checking in I asked for a higher floor and the clerk said the hotel was built to keep out street noise. (This certainly was not always the case with noise in the hallway outside my room.). The only thing a bit odd was the cold water in the bathroom. I've stayed in hotels where I had to run the hot water to get hot water. In this hotel I had to run the cold water to get cold water, otherwise it is as very warm. Not at all a big deal- other than a waste of water.

Across the street from the hotel is a plaza with lots of chairs and tables. During the week there are many food trucks parked on 46 th street and choices are varied. Two mornings I got some coffee and read the paper there and it was most pleasant.

Perfect getaway to NYC with a girlfriend! Can't wait to go back with my husband. Our room was just perfect, on the 21st floor, a little view, modern, new, pristine, gorgeous bathroom, super comfortable bed/pillows, and quiet. Location was great...we walked to great restaurants, museums, and theatre; no need for subway, bus, or cabs. I got a great room rate, and everyone at the front desk/reception were very nice, helpful, and friendly. Oh, and free wifi!

Room Tip: I had a room on the 21st floor. It was near the elevator, but totally quiet. I did not hear any nois...

Nice hotel, but maybe not luxury as it is rated in some sites. I would rate it 3-star. The gym at the hotel is 3 blocks away and the stocked mini-bar is nowhere. Iron and iron-board is not in the room as advertised - you have to order it!

Room Tip: If You get a good deal - this hotel is ok, but there are many other hotels in the neighbourhood. How...

Excellent location, very friendly, helpful and courteous staff. Decent size room which was very clean. Don't let the size of the lobby fool you. The complimentary beverages were appreciated, especially the fruity water in the afternoon after a hot summer day. Free Wifi, large TV. But did I tell you it was in a great location.

Pros:
- Very hip and modern, lots of personality in the décor.
- My room was very clean. Everything looked brand new.
- Well suited for business travel--desk and lots of easily accessible outlets.
- Located very close to Times Square (and Bryant Park, one of my favorite places)
- Staff was very friendly.
- I love the stall shower with no tub! Really, more business hotels should do this. Tubs are gross and who uses them other than families with kids (which this hotel is definitely not geared towards).
Cons:
- Rooms are small and I think they only have double beds. As a solo traveler this was fine, but if I were traveling with my husband, this would never have worked for us.
- Fitness center debacle: The hotel doesn't have a fitness center, so they have contracted with Equinox Gym, a couple of blocks away, for guests to use. Which would be okay--not great, but okay--except that there is a hotel directory in your room that says the fitness center is on tenth floor. There is a little sticker on the inside of your keycard holder that mentions the Equinox but 1) it doesn't say anything about the fitness center on the 10th floor no longer being available, it sounds the Equinox is an extra alternative and 2) who looks in the keycard holder for information about the fitness center? That's what the hotel directory is for. So the note in the keycard holder is basically just an out for the staff to say you were told about the fitness center when you wake up an hour early to work out and realize that you really needed to wake up an hour and 20 minutes early and now aren't going to be able work out or go back to sleep. That's the sort of thing that gets your TripAdvisor review downgraded by at least a point.
- The hotel doesn't really have any sort of lobby to speak of. I had to make a phone call after I checked out and normally this is something I would do from a quiet spot in the hotel lobby, but not at this hotel.
- The restaurant in the hotel is very hip and trendy and popular. Which you would think would be a positive but what it means is that, as a solo traveler, you are going to have to find someplace else to eat (and if you aren't a solo traveler, I'm not sure this is the hotel for you). Likewise if you just want to have a glass of wine at the end of a long day of travel/meetings.

Dear Momrath,

Thank you for mentioning the friendly staff, comfortable guest rooms and our prime location! We appreciate you taking the time to provide such feedback. Though you were pleased with every facet of your stay, I'm sorry to read that the fitness center was not available onsite and for any inconvenience you experienced due to it. We have revised our directory to reflect the changes on there.

Please know we do have rooms of various sizes, so depending on what you booked; you may have ended up in a smaller room and we are planning on revamping the look and feel of the lobby soon.

Thank you again and if your travels ever bring you back to New York, I hope to welcome you back for a more comfortable stay!
