“Great location , friendly staff!!!!!!!!!”

I had the opportunity to stay in this hotel twice, the first was around christmas 2010 during the snow storm that NY got and we were so happy to be in this hotel. The location is perfect, close to everything, from the hotel you can walk to Time square, fifth avenue and central park in minutes. During last christmas NY colapsed with the tons of snow everywhere and traffic was impossible but we walked to everywhere with no problems.

Another concern that we had was bed bugs, we were told that lots of hotels were infected with bed bugs so once we got into the room we made sure that the room was clean enough and we didn't have any problems with bugs.

The only recomendation that we had is improving amenities in the rooms, no coffee machine or microwave are available but the staff is friendly , the reception very helpful, even helped us to print cupons from Macy's to get discount on shopping and we were able to print our boarding pass before we headed to the airpot.
I will certanly recommend this hotel to everybody .

As others have pointed out, the location is great. We booked through Hotwire, but were surprised to learn that we only were going to get a full-sized bed for two men. Cassa charged us an additional $50 a night to upgrade to a king bed. We liked the room, and the bed. It was quiet as well. Staff were friendly. Only drawbacks, besides the added charge, were the lack of ice and soap in the bathroom. They offered a very nice bar of soap, but when it was gone, we were only given two thin sticks of soap for the last day of our 4 night stay.

The presentation of this hotel is terrific as is the location. Can't fault either. The rooms certainly are small but you knew that right! It was the little things though that really let this hotel down for us. We stayed there for a few days, went to Boston for a couple of days and were returning to the Cassa - they wouldn't keep a bag for a couple of days for returning clients. When my husband arrived he stored his bag for a day at the hotel and when we collected it later the bag was wet, as was all the contents. We've stayed in a few hotels around the US on this trip and this is by far the most ridiculously priced inroom wifi and phone call costs.

This hotel is situated in a nice quiet location just a few minutes walk to Times Square. Staff were exceptionally pleasant, knowledgeable and attentive to guests' needs. The rooms are decorated nicely but lacking in amenities - there were no coffee machines in rooms (nor was coffee available in the lobby), no ice buckets or ice (unless ordered by room service), and the closets are poorly designed with little space to hang/store clothing. The showers are large but there are no shelves for toiletries, etc. The hallways are dark, dingy and not air-conditioned. The lobby is very small and unfinished. Beds were very comfortable. We got an exceptional rate by booking with hotwire but would have been very upset had we paid more.

We stayed at the Cassa hotel June 25th. I could not complain about the hotel's location one bit, as we were no more than 4 blocks away from Time Square, great as we'd been wanting to see a Broadway show that evening. The hotel staff was friendly (barring the concierge, which I will explain in a moment), the room clean (though fairly small - I didn't even realize until we opened the door to our room that double-beds were even an option much less the norm), and the shower amazing (one of the natural rain-type shower heads). Again, though the room was clean, it was small enough that the ~37" LCD television felt too big to watch if that says anything. It lacked coffee in the room and in the lobby as well which I've come to expect in better hotels. As for the hotel's concierge - he was... obnoxious. We arrived at the hotel early that afternoon and were running out to get show tickets and asked him to get us reservations for some good Italian, quoting 'Babbo' (though knew getting a table would be next to impossible). I let the concierge know to try, and if not then to provide us with a small comparable selection. Coming back to the hotel the concierge asked what show we'd purchased tickets to to which we replied "Bengal Tiger (...)" and received a "you wasted your money" speech that lasted no less than 5 minutes. Excuse me? And what does he say for a restaurant, $70 for Chef Boyardee's best in my opinion. Stay at the hotel for the location, but don't even look towards the concierge's desk.

Though the standard room was on the small side it was kept clean and towels were changed daily.
I cannot express how fantastic all the reception staff are, Eric was especially helpful there was nothing that we asked that he did not deliver. The bell boys were also always at hand to open doors and flag down taxi's.

First time in NYC and because of my stay cannot wait to return to both the hotel and city.

I recently stayed at this hotel and although I didn't find any glaring weaknesses, I also didn't find any memorable strengths.
Pros: great location near all the action, clean room, modern decor, friendly staff.
Cons: tiny room, no coffee maker, no ice, stuffy room, lots of street noise, not for traditional families with children, expensive, construction going on in the lobby.
With the above information taken into consideration, I would rate this a 3 star hotel. Would I ever consider staying at this hotel again--yes. Would I look elsewhere first--yes again.
