“Always a great experience”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 14, 2014

I like the Mondrian chain, it offers the same type of quality and service, although I must admit that the restaurant in Soho was slow, and not very attentive. Otherwise, I like to stay here, the rooms are large enough and I love their linens.

We stayed in the Mondrian Soho last time we've been to NYC (last March). The location of the hotel is great, the archtecture is great, starting from the entracne, the lobbi, the rooms and the resturant. However, the rooms a tiny (even though we have upgraded the room to a suite) and the prices... The hotel itself not to talk about the prices at the restaurant which is large, causy, beautiful and good food but too expensive.

Room Tip: If the mini suite was too small so I assume there is no good tip

I have stayed many times at the Mondrian in Soho for work and have always had a good experience. The hotel is well located just tucked a few streets back from Broadway and close to Nolita. The rooms are small (as is the general experience in Soho) but clean & comfortable. They have a beautiful bar for breakfast and evening drinks and the signature scent on entering is lovely. The service can be a little patchy at times. On my last stay, there were no bellman to help us with our many bags and the breakfast service is also pretty slow but overall these are small blips in an otherwise lovely hotel. It can sometimes be a bit noisy, particularly on the weekend, but the outside traffic means that you need to pack earplugs for anywhere in New York! I would recommend this as a great base to explore Soho, close to cool restaurants and shops.

Room Tip: The higher up, the further away the traffic noise and ask to be away from the lifts.

This was our second stay at the Mondrian SoHo and it didn't disappoint. The decor and staff are are fantastic. Rooms are spacious, clean and super trendy. The restaurant in the hotel has wonderful food and cocktails. Another excellent stay...will be returning!

I stayed at the Mondrian for two nights with my daughter. The hotel itself is gorgeous and modern. We enjoyed looking at and spending time in the common spaces. The rooms themselves have very comfortable beds. The rooms are small and the sinks are outside of the bathroom so you are getting ready for bed and brushing your teeth right in the room. The location is wonderful and steps from all of the great Soho shops and restaurants, yet located on a quiet street. We were drawn to the beautifully decorated restaurant, which was a disappointment in that the service was incredibly slow for breakfast. The buffet kept running out of food too. The entrance and bell/luggage area is on the ground floor with the lobby and check in one floor above. Rooms were quiet - we were on a high floor. I would stay there again for sure and look into other Morgans properties.

Dear excitedtraveler46,

I'm so glad that you and your daughter enjoyed your time with us, enjoying our chic common spaces and comfortable beds while taking advantage of the shopping that our neighborhood has to offer.

I am sorry to hear that your experience in our restaurant was disappointing, I have passed on your feedback to the appropriate parties and we are actively working to remedy the situation.

My wife and I stayed at the Mondrian SoHo last weekend and had an awesome time. Location is fantastic, service is great and most importantly, the rooms are really nice. In particular, I would not that the quality of the bedding was superb. Will definitively come back.

Dear DanielV911,

I want to thank you for your feedback regarding your recent stay with us. It's wonderful to hear that you enjoyed our location, service, and rooms. The quality of our bedding is a popular praise - just like sleeping on a cloud high above the bustling city.

We hope to see you on your return trip in the near future.

This hotel had a modern fairy tale vibe. Great views from the room (we had a deluxe room) and perfect location. It's not your main stream corporate hotel and that's exactly why I choose the boutique world. Service, drinks and the Italian restaurant in the amazing atrium style room were all excellent. Me and my girlfriend will return again!

Dear JamesMynd,

I'm pleased that you enjoyed your recent stay with us, thank you for leaving your feedback.

That "modern fairy tale vibe" you picked up on is actually intentional. The interior design of our property, done by Benjamin Noriega Ortiz, was inspired by "La Belle et la Bete," the Jean Cocteau film adaptation of the classic "Beauty and the Beast" fairy tale. It's where we derive our rose motif and French blue color scheme from.

We hope to see you and your girlfriend again in the near future.

Kind regards,

James Bryant
