This is truly a unique restaurant -- its only other mate is in Tokyo.
There are two dining areas -- a back room which is quiet and sedate, and a large front room with a counter, which is where all the "action" is. There are two chefs in the front room, surrounded by plates of fresh ingredients -- veggies, fish (covered with ice) -- and then cooking grills in between. Your waiter will take the order and then stand in front of the chefs and shout out each dish -- and then the chefs will acknowledge each dish with a similar shout.
The food is different -- not the usual sushi and sashimi -- and all very tasty, but served in small portions. A large variety of sake, both hot and cold, is available. Ask your waiter for recommendations. We had an unfiltered Nigori which was delicious.'
You will leave satiated but not stuffed -- and your wallet will definitely be thinner as well. Expect to spend a minimum of $100pp or much more.
Go and enjoy and experience this place -- it is very very different.
