“Peace and quiet in the City that never sleeps”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 weeks ago

Hotel is well positioned, within easy walking distance from underground and must-see areas like Little Italy & China town. Its also a quieter area, which is invaluable for the jetlagged traveller. Our room was spacious, LOVED the bathtub and view towards the bridge. Wifi was a bit slow, but not unusable. The wine-and-snacks in the reception each afternoon was a welcome addition. The staff was friendly and helpful, with great suggestions on outings. The in-house restaurant serving breakfast is convenient, but expensive. I have long hair and the staff immediately placed additional towels in our rooms for me - lovely touch. Staff kindly kept a gift package for a friend at reception after we left, which we really appreciated!!
Will definitely stay here again.

One recommendation to staff - the curtains (although light-blocking) did not completely cover the large windows, and early morning light was a shock to the system when trying to adjust to a new time zone.

Room Tip: Definitely spend the few extra dollars to get a room on the corner viewing the bridge.

This is a great hotel, quite new and comfortable in a brilliant spot in Nolita near soho, little Italy and Chinatown. Everything in NYC easily accessed by subway.. The staff were really helpful. The only issue we had was really poor wifi every day despite multiple complaints. We basically had to go to the lobby!

Room Tip: Ask for corner room as high as you can afford!

Whats great about this hotel is the staff, they are so friendly and helpful! Also a great location in a less touristy and noisy part of New York with walking distance to a lot of NYC hotspots. I appreciated the great shopping in the area. The rooms were small, even though I guess if you pay more you can have a larger one, and no bathtub which disappointed me. I tend to like classic hotels with charm, this hotel was very modern and didnt give me that feeling - On the other hand there is a lovely roof-top terrace with a view over the city.
The Wifi password seemed to change each day which was annoying, it also disconnected a lot.

My wife and I just spent three quality days at the Nolitan. The rooms are uniquely designed with very nice space planning. The staff is extremely helpful with a very sensitive responses to your needs as a guest. The hotel sits near both Little Italy and Chinatown, which offers a splendid array of things to do and see. The immediate neighborhood has numerous shops and restaurants which are fun and fashionable. We would recommend eating breakfast at Café Fiat as I experienced the best pancakes I have ever eaten.
The hotel cost is very reasonable for the experience. One suggestion is to become familiar with using the subway as it can get pricey to get uptown by taxi. We highly recommend staying at the Nolitan.

Room Tip: Try to get a corner room.

The rooms are stylish and incredibly quiet and the restaurant is first-rate. Near the hotel within easy walking distance are 20-30 superb restaurants on very beautiful streets. A wonderful place to stay in Manhattan.

Great hotel for a great price. Room was clean and well finished. A couple funny things though. The shower had a window that faced the street, so if you got in before the glass fogged up, your body was fair game for the building across the street. No curtain on that window. Also, there was a window between the shower and the room itself. That's fine but the curtain for the shower was controlled from the room, not the shower. Which means your roommates/family could pull the curtain to the side and see you in all your glory. Lastly, if you valet your car, call the number on the ticket yourself. We called the desk as we were walking back to the hotel on a tight timeline, but the hotel staff didn't call the valet service for another 17 minutes. So we got stuck in more rush hour traffic than we would have if we had just called the valet ourselves. Overall, we would still go back to this hotel. Of course we don't have kids who could pull the curtain to the shower to peak.

We stayed here for three nights in August after coming off the Queen Mary 2. We're both professionals in our late 20's and early 30's (so not Hipsters) and we found that the Nolitan delivered the perfect base in NYC for us.

From the incredibly friendly team behind the front desk through to the brilliant 'in-room dining' all of which can be ordered through them and brought to your room (apparently without a charge because you just pay 18% standard gratuity). That was one of many highlights and was so good that one day we just stayed in bed and ordered Chinese for lunch and then a Meatball Pizza for dinner, only venturing out for drinks well into the evening!

The rooms have everything in them (including bathrobes), speakers etc. The see through shower which divides the room was fun. Although if you aren't romantic with the person you're sharing with, it probably wouldn't work for you! Either way they sensibly put the toilet in a separate room because unlike some hipster hangouts a dividing screen is not enough and in my humble opinion a big step too far. There was a cool balcony where we drank the complimentary wine/champagne they offer you each night in reception and listened to music while we got ready to hit the town. Overall it was just a very cool experience and perfectly suited to what we were doing in NYC (which was having fun!). As I said the staff were all incredibly friendly people and not 'too cool for school' types. Overall one of the best stays in one of the best parts of Manhattan. We'd definitely come back, maybe even in winter just so we have an excuse not leave the room and order takeout again, great, great pizza area and Chinatown on your doorstep what more could you want?...
