“New hotel near Time Square”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 14, 2011

I guess it is hard to find good mid class hotel in New York.
This one is really good ONE!
It's new, maybe one year old on October 2011 and very clean and stylish.
I book corner room for 3 nights at Halloween weekend for about 1000USD total (plus tax)
The room is not huge but big enough for two. Beautiful bathroom with great walk-in shower. View from 22nd floor wasn't the best one in NYC, I was a bit disappointed.
Location is very good - subway station enhance inside hotel building, Time square few minutes away from Time square and two block away from The restraint row.
Rest on my week in NY had to stay in Millennium UN Plaza hotel which was total nightmare

Room Tip: corner room is good option, ask for higher floor

This is a brand new hotel about 1.5 blocks from Times Square. The location is ideal and there are many breakfast places within 1 block of the hotel. The rooms are brand-new and the views from the top floors are unreal. I would definetely recommend this hotel if you want to stay near Times Square. You don't see the Times Square from the rooms because it is blocked by other skyscrapers. Skip the overpriced breakfast at the hotel restaurant and head to Junior's a block way for a quintessential NYC experience. We had rewards nights from ICHG program but I checked the prices online before I booked and they seemed very reasonable for the 5-star hotel in this area.

Room Tip: 36th floor rooms have unbelieavable view of 8th Ave but you might have to be Platinum member to get...

Stayed here over the weekend for a girls weekend of shopping and theater. Everyone was so nice and welcoming. We had a room on the 7th floor, not much of a view, but the room was really well decorated in a zen like quality and clean. This hotel is a keeper on my list. Great location.

The view is breathtaking from the rooms with a panoramic view of 44th / 8th! And the location is perfect for a visit to New York City with the subway mere steps from the entrance of the hotel. The room service breakfast exceeded expectations and so was enjoyed each and every morning. The staff were quite pleasant. The doormen and police at the entrance are a nice addition to a stay in New York City. Assistance with directions or a cab were appreciated! Do have a drink in the lounge and watch the world walk by. And the view!

This was a great location for everything NYC. Stepped out the door & POW: times square (bright lights, big city). Grabbed a bite & hit the stores within a block or 2. 15 min walk to Macy's...max! Subway to Harlem for soul food? Maybe 15 min. Caught a play 3 blocks over. 10 min walk to St. Patrick's Cathedral or Rockefeller Center. A little pricey for the time spent in room, but was the cheapest in area. I would stay again for a weekend.

I had read about the Times Square InterContinental on TripAdvisor, so wasn't disappointed by the room size. It was about what I expected. However, there was enough room for my husband, son and I and our baggage. I was pleasantly surprised by the bathroom- bigger than expected with a shower and tub. The beds were comfortable and the room was quiet.

The front desk staff was okay, not overly gracious, but not rude. The bellmen were exceptionally friendly, helpful, pleasant and smiling.

We were initially on the 5th floor. Our 2nd night there a pipe burst soaking the carpets well into our entry. They offered to move us to a room on the 4th floor for the next two nights. We asked for a higher floor with a view and the gal grudgingly gave it to us. We were so grateful for the move! While the lower level room was comfortable, there was no view. When we moved to the 15th floor it was MUCH better!

I had to ask them two times (upon check-in and when we changed rooms) before they credited my Priority Club account. I don't feel like they gave us any special perks for being long time Priority Club members, unlike some other hotel chains.

The location is superb if Times Sq is where you want to be. The concierge recommended Quality Meats for dinner, and it was delicious. We found a little Greek diner around the corner on 9th Avenue that was open early and it was pretty good with very reasonable prices.

I would stay there again if wanting the theatre district and shopping.

Room Tip: Ask for a higher floor, the view of the Hudson and West Side is wonderful!
