“Cheap Entertainment. You get what you pay for.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 11, 2012

We bought the tickets on the street at a discount. We paid $60 for the four of us ($15 each). The people selling them on the street get commision based on how many they sell. Always workout a deal with them. The room in far underground and was very warm and uncomfortable with little or no air movement. The comedians were so-so (1 was good, 1 was OK, and the other 2 were terrible). The host was good. There is a 2 menu item minimum ($7-$10/item) to include food and drinks. Maybe if you drink more before you get there, it would be more fun.

“2 out of 5 were funny”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed June 5, 2012 via mobile

Dont get suckered in when walking around time square like we did. Not that funny. Alcohol tasted watered down. Definitely a tourist trap.

“Not funny, but took a risk”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed June 3, 2012 via mobile

Half off on the street. Only 1 out of 4 were funny. 2 were horrible and 1 was ok. The host was funny. The 2 item minimum is where they get you. If you're gonna drink anyway, the drink prices are comparable to others $8-$10. So you might as well take a chance to get entertained, hopefully. The thing that bothered me was an audience member was rude to the comedians. Comedy is all about timing and she was ruining it for everyone. A comedian was even asking security to take her out and hey didn't. They should have that policy of reserving the right to refuse service to anyone, because it was not fair for the others in the audience. I bet I would've enjoyed myself more if the security just escorted that woman out.

“Subpar singers in acoustically challenged space”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed April 29, 2012 via mobile

My group was definitely one of the few who weren't tourists, which should've tipped us off that it was going to suck. First, a woman who worked there sent us to the comedy show after we told her that we were there for dueling pianos. Even as a guy who worked there walked us to the right door, that same woman tried to send us back where we came from. So weird and frustrating. Once we were in, the disappointment continued. It's hard to hear the performers in the large-ish space. They need better mics and more speakers. And one of the singers just wasn't that good. She wouldn't make it to Hollywood on American Idol, though she tried hard. The playlist was bizarre too. I like Billy Joel as much as the next piano bar lover, but 5 songs by him in 90 minutes is extreme. They also do this annoying thing where the girl sings a sappy ballad to entice audience members to pay her to stop. We already paid $20/person to get in + a 2-drink minimum with an 18% gratiuity. We shouldn't have to pay more to not be irritated. The audience made things worse: Drunk out-of-towners yelled at my 60-year-old dad because he didn't stand up during Proud to Be an American (why this song was played at all is also a mystery). And a group of women frequently took the stage to drunkenly dance and molest the musicians. Take my advice: If you want a local crowd and Broadway-caliber performers, go to Brandy's on the Upper East Side or Duplex in the West Village. More entertaining for no (or a low) cover. Props to the drummer at Ha, though.
