Our guide, Martin was friendly and informative. We were too tired to walk and didn't have much time so this was a great way to see some of it. Very fun!

We booked a two hour bike tour with http://www.centralparktours.net/ and it was a great way to see the park. Although my husband had been to NYC on business several times, he'd never had time to really see the park and this was the first trip for the kids (14 & 15) and I to NYC.

Teodor took us on our tour and he was great. He showed us all the major attractions, sights where various movies were shot etc and some little out of the way places as well - where there weren't any other tour guides! He'd been doing tours in the park for more than 4 years so was quite knowledgeable. We actually had one "guide" come up and ask us if the building we were looking at (Dakota) was where Lennon was shot.......so I can imagine there are all sorts of supposed bike tours and "guides" operating in the park.

Central Park Tours have various types of tours (rickshaw, bike, walking, Horse & carriage etc) and you can also rent bikes from these guys as well but for anyone with teenagers, I would recommend the bike tour - it was excellent.

You make several stops along the way and it's not a hard ride at all - so you don't need to be really fit to do it.

After a bit of miscommunication on where to meet, we were nicely fitted with bicycles and headed into the park. My 16 year old niece had wanted to do this tour. I was skeptical having not been on a bicycle in decades. The 2 hour bike tour flew by loaded with lots of facts and history of Central Park and the surrounding buildings and areas. Theodore, our tour guide, was knowledgeable, courteous and friendly. The only thing I would change would be to have baskets on the bicycles to hold "stuff". I would highly recommend this tour!

I was not familiar with Central Park so I took a guided bike tour with my sons, ages 17 and 15. It was fantastic! It is not a difficult ride as the hills are not bad, and there are no cars on the road most of the time. Our guide George was very knowledgeable and friendly. He stayed with the bikes at a couple of spots so we could walk closer to the attractions. He also showed us some out-of-the-way spots that were very beautiful and that we never would have found on our own. We had unseasonably cool weather which was perfect for bike riding.
