I have been to New York more times than I can count, but earlier this month (July), I went with my two kids, ages 7 and 11 for this first trip to the Big Apple. We saw lots of sights, but one of the highlights of the trip was seeing Central Park by rickshaw. I called Central Park Tours in advance and booked two rickshaws for the short tour (45 minutes) for my husband and I and the two kids. George, one of our tour guides, promptly called me to confirm our reservation upon my arrival in New York and met us promptly just outside the park on the day of our tour. Along the way, we saw,The Balto Statue, Strawberry Fields, The Dakota, Bethesda Terrace, The Literary Walk, The Sheep Meadow, the Ghostbusters building, and Tavern on the Green. At The Literary Walk, Teddy, our other tour guide, got out of the rickshaw with and took our picture. We also stopped at The Bethesda Terrace, where we were able to get out and see, as my daughter says, where "Enchanted" was filmed. Our last stop was at Strawberry Fields, where we were able to once again hop out of the rickshaw and take a short walk to see the Imagine mosaic. Although we signed up for the short tour, which was supposed to be 45 minutes, George and Teddy gave us a little longer to see the sights. As many times as I have been through Central Park (mainly via a carriage ride), I have never seen so much of it, nor would I had it not been for Central Park Tours. Special thanks to George and Teddy for making my kids' first trip to the park so memorable.
