“beer and the basics”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 12, 2014

Very good sports bar. Focus on pub fare. it was just around the corner from our hotel on 57th St. Friendly, spacious, good service, nice chatty server. Menu on line at theirishpubnyc.com. in business since 1939.

“Nice Pub”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 29, 2013

Had dinner here and watch Some Sunday evening football. Food was pretty good for a pub. Holiday Martinis sounded better than they were. Waitress was really nice, but manager, Adele, left a lot to be desired. Hostess wanted to seat us at a table, but Adele said no and had her seat folks that came in after us. Adele then came over to us and said we were to be seated next. What a lie...we had been waiting and saw the other people come in, after us! I can overlook a lot of things but please don't lie. It is a very cool pub with a lot of tv's...just hope Adele isn't working when you visit!

“An Irish Gem”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 28, 2013

As we were staying at the nearby Wellington Hotel on 7th avenue this became our 'local' for the 4 days of our stay. The staff were great especially Megan who had only been over in NYC for 2 weeks. Very friendly staff and great food, had our Xmas dinner here. Great place!

“Fantastic bar and restaurant”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 20, 2013

I have been visiting nyc for many years but never been in this bar before. i decided to give it a try this trip and was very pleased with everything. They show all the english soccer games , the food is awesome and very good value for money. Sometimes just popped in for drinks at the bar, found it very good quality beer on draught and again fairly priced.
What made the difference from all the other bars i think was the fantastic customer serive, all the staff no matter what day or time we went in were very friendly. I will certainly be visiting again, i would love to spend new years eve here!!
