“Excellent hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 15, 2013

My husband and I stayed here from 18/6/ - 22/06/13, this is the first time we have stayed in the financial district and we were pleasantly surprised!!! The hotel is near the subway, Battery Park is within walking distance as is South Street Seaport. The shop Century 21 is only a few minutes walk away. The hotel is beautiful with a minimalistic feel which we liked, the rooms were cleaned daily and were immaculate with the mini bar being refilled daily with soft drinks and snacks. On our previous stays in Manhattan we have always stayed in Midtown but would definitely stay here again its less noisy and the rooms are huge!!! The staff were friendly and couldn't do enough for you.

We stayed at the Andaz for four nights with a family of 4. The rooms were amazing and spacious, while the staff is ready and willing to help with any need. Very cool and modern design and the bathroom/shower was more than you can imagine. Very close to subway stops, but also just a perfect distance from all the noise at night. Walk to 9/11 memorial, NYSE, Charging Bull statue, Statue of Liberty Ferry. Easy, short ride to anywhere else you would want to see. FREE SNACKS!!

We've stayed at the Andaz Wall Street hotel for seven nights, and have found it an extremely pleasant stay. The hotel is located conveniently (close to a subway station), which is always important for us. The hotel was clean and quiet, we had a large room with everything that we needed, including a good bed (not too soft), and great working air conditioner, which was important as it was close to a 100 degrees for a few days. It was nice that the non-alcoholic drinks in the minibar were free, so we wouldn't have to go and get them somewhere. Check-in on an iPad was new for me, but we had friendly staff to explain it and to explain how everything in the room worked.

Stayed over the 4th of July weekend. The staff were very accommodating from the moment we arrived to the moment we left. (caution, if you drive to the hotel the address in your GPS 75 Wall Street brings you to the wrong entrance, the entrance is on Water Street and there is minimal signage and no door men)

Great breakfasts and excellent service at the Wall and Water Restaurant. The walk to the Trade Tower and the ferries is very short, but getting almost anywhere else in Manhattan is a bit of a pain. Rooms are a good size and reasonably appointed (loved the electronic lighting controls). If you need to be in lower Manhattan it is a good location.

Given the low room cost (~$220/night) and what you got for it - it was great value.

Dear Nefo,

Thank you for your comments regarding your stay with us. As the area is redeveloping, I am happy to say that there are many options in the area for shopping, entertainment and dining. We look forward to the reopening of the World Trade sight which will continue to make the downtown area a great place to visit.

With kind regards,
Jeffrey

From the moment I walked in the door the staff was wonderful. The hotel is very nice and the room was comfortable. Wall & Water restaraunt was delicous and the staff was again very good and knowledgeable when it came to the menu. Very glad I stayed at this hotel, I will be returning!

5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 7, 2013

I spent 5 nights at the Andaz Wall Street (actually, it's on Water Street...) while on vacation in NYC.

Service: Excellent. Everyone was super helpful, very polite, and pleasant. From the guys at the "front desk" the waiters at Wall & Water (the restaurant where we had excellent breakfast every day), everyone was great.

Value: For the price we paid for an Andaz Suite, which, by New York standards, is a huge room, we would have stayed in a standard room, more or less, at the Andaz on Fifth. Having stayed twice at the Andaz on 5th in the past, and having been very happy with my choice, I decided to go downtown this time, and give the Wall Street location a chance. And I was not disappointed! For the rate we paid, and all the little extras of the Andaz room (free mini bar, etc.), I feel that the value we got was excellent.

Sleep quality: Excellent. Great, comfy bed, no issue with a bit of light coming in through the (many) shades (lots of light in the room, and quite neighborhood at night.

Cleanliness: Very good. The room must have just undergone carpet cleaning when we arrived, because the carpets were still a bit wet. There was an issue with the wash basin being clogged up, but upon reporting it, it was immediately taken care of.

Location: Very good. There's a parking garage next door, which charges about $35 per 24 hours if you have a car (it's a tricky one, as only one car fits in or out at a time...). And the Wall street metro is 3 minutes by foot. The 9-11 memorial is 5 minutes away, and Century 21 as well. Overall, the location is nice, especially if you don't care to be in the middle of the mid-town chaos. Also, it's across the street from a 24 hours convenience store, which is always good.

Rooms: Very Good. The Andaz suite we stayed in was great. Huge walk in shower / bathtub combo room, separate toilet room. Only one wash basin though, two would have been nice. And not too much closet space (this is typical Andaz). Nice sitting area, and work area. Loved the big windows and the natural light in the room. The smart room light controls are nice too.

Overall, the scale tips a bit on the "excellent" side, so that's my opinion of it. Will return, if I get similar value.

Room Tip: If you get a good value rate, book the Andaz suite.

Very much enjoying this Hotel. Modern, Sleek NYC Style. It Certainly did not disappoint as it was my first time at an Andaz Property. Good location close to Battery Park which will get u over to the Statute of Liberty. Its is in the Financial District which is not Times Square by any stretch, on the quiet side (which is a just fine for me) I will certainly be returning!
