“Great food, fantastic service, pleasant atmosphere”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 29, 2012

I was actually on my way to another nearby restaurant when I went by Libertador and decided to change my plans and stop to eat as everyone who was already sitting and eating in their outdoor seating seemed very happy and satisfied. I was not disappointed at all - the service was very attentive, pleasant and courteous, the food was freshly made, very tasty and the portions were reasonable, and above all - the atmosphere was very friendly.
The desserts selection is varied and my only complaint would be that the desserts, while great in taste and look, were a bit overpriced. Nevertheless, I will make sure to come back

“Great meat!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 12, 2012

This place will become a destination on 2nd Ave! We had the most fantastic grilled lamb chops ever, and a tasty steak involuntine. Great bar scene too.

“Great neighborhood alternative”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 4, 2012

The empanadas were excellent and a bargain. Two salads were fresh and had a bit of twist and the steak for two with herbed fries was very tasty. Add a pisco sour followed by some Malbec and you in business.

“A taste of Argentina. Good meat with good price on upper east side!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 5, 2012

My wife and me where going to the city around 7:30 pm when we spoted this Argentinian restaurant. iIt's very hard to park on this residential neiborhood, but after few driving around the block we found a spot very close to the restaurant.
We had empanadas as apetizer (just $3 each) and a Bife de Chorizo ( like New York strip), that comes with mashed potatoes (around $23). I had a glass of Malbec (traditional Argentinian) and my wife just water. As desert we shared a Dulce de Leche (sweet milk ), also Argentinian traditional.
Everything was good. The place is a bit noise but good ambience.
I have been many many times in Buenos Aires in Argentina and I am familiar with the excelent meat there. Bife de Chorizo in Buenos Aires is found in every corner and is very traditional..

This meet was good but not as good as a Bife found in a good restaurant in Buenos Aires.. But the price was excelent . The total cost for both was $76. A bargain in NYC for meat..

It's a great Argentinian restaurant, good food and good service. Sometimes a little bit noisy, but the vibe is good!!!
