5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 30, 2014

The location is excellent, the staff super helpful and patient when we had an issue with our credit card on booking in. The room, with a view of the Empire State, was comfortable and cleaned early each morning which is great.

Can't comment on the dining/bar facilities because, well, New York was just outside, but everything about this place worked for us, especially the price. Having stayed in hotels that think they're better because they might be a bit trendier or have some kind of rooftop bar/club, the Eventi blows them out of the water.

Thanks and we'll be back.

Room Tip: We asked for a quiet room and got one with a view over 6th Avenue.

After an amazing stay at Eventi's sibling hotel, The Muse, we decided that it was an absolute must to stay here, too! We spent our New Year's Eve/ Day at Eventi.

1) Location Location Location
How convenient is it that you can walk to Penn Station in less than 5 minutes?
2 blocks away from the shopping area (Macy's and other retail stores).
Need I say more?

2) Service
Whether you need directions, services, or want a recommendation for a night out, the staff is readily willing and eager to help you. We struck up an easy going conversation with the front-desk and had such a fun time entering the building to moving into the room. Very pleased that most all of the staff greeted us by name, making our stay personal. The cleaning staff deserves a huge thumbs-up for such graciousness, spotless work, warm good-mornings, and welcoming smiles. Kimpton's policy, "you forgot it, we got it", is immensely helpful and an added perk, should you need it.

3) Decor
Eventi's lobby manages to squeeze in gorgeous and lavish decor that is just enough to make you go, "Wow!', but not come off as gaudy or tacky. The lobby is small and intimate, but has just enough flair to keep you on your toes and excited to see the room. The rooms are artfully decorated in muted colors that come off as professional, sleek, and clean.

4) The Room Itself
We had a view of the Empire State Building, which was absolutely stunning at night.
The entire city is lit up with lights while the night sky gently settles over what I deem, the world's greatest city.
Big king bed, and plenty of space to move around. Loved the darker hues and color schemes. Instead of coming off as haunting and dim, the ambience was restful and quiet in the city that never sleeps.
The bathroom is undeniably one of the biggest thumbs-up factors about Eventi. Huge shower, double sink space, and so much room! Added points for rain shower head! Tastefully designed and oh so spacious! I'd come back just for the bathroom itself!

I shouldn't spoil too much more, should you be looking to stay soon.
I loved my stay here, and would definitely stay again!
You will not be disappointed if you stay with Kimpton!

Our second visit to the Eventi again surpassed expectations. This time we took the train in and were delighted to see just how easy it was to walk from Penn Station to the hotel (about 5 minutes away on foot). Also saw a Broadway show and easily walked to the theater. Thanks to the manager, Dominique St. Paul, who arranged our upgrade as In Touch members. A lovely bottle of wine was left for us. The staff was extremely helpful as always and the view from our room spectacular. Looking forward to our return. Why go elsewhere?

Loved the Eventi. I chose this hotel because I was coming in on the train and it was a 5 minute walk from Penn station. They actually had a special "ride the rails" rate which made it one of the more affordable options in the city. The service at the hotel was great. Every person I came in contact with was very helpful, beginning at check-in when they upgraded me to a corner room with a great view. This is a beautiful hotel in a great location.

Room Tip: higher floors better for view of empire state bldd or freedom tower

I absolutely can not get over our weekend at the eventi. They went above and beyond and I am so grateful to the concierge. We were in the city celebrating our anniversary and after a very horrendous stay at another kimpton property a few months prior we were very skeptical. This hotel definitely bought our loyalty back to the kimpton brand. First off to begin our stay we were upgraded to splendid suite. My boyfriend was in and out of the hotel and kept forgetting his key card, most hotels would hAve been over it but they had no problem re issuing keys. Their bar downstairs was amazing!! Very friendly AND attentive, their knickerbocker is a must try.

We had a great weekend in Chelsea and it started from the moment we checked into the Eventi Chelsea. Even though we arrived prior to the listed checkin time we were given a great room with a view of the Empire State Building. The staff was especially wlecoming and helpful throughout our stay. The veranda and restaurant level are beautiful and the daily complimentary wine reception a treat that is hard to find in the city.

It was a great location for checking out the area and getting away from some of the more touristy spots. The room was very well appointed, clean and was plenty big. We will definitley be back.
