We stayed at theis hotel the end of Novemeber for three nights. It is a wonderful hotel, great location, extremely clean and very helpful staff.
From the moment you walk in you feel welcome. We would definitely return to this hotel on out next visit to NYC.
The rooms are spacious and clean. The bar on the upper level had a good selection of drinks and the bartender suggested one to mKe for us which was excellent..
Thanks for a great stay.

This hotel delivers what I think we all want in a hotel, luxury, style individual and great service. A pioneer of roof bars this second NY hotel also has a nice roof bar and pool with a great view. Also a good part of town that has more style and less crowds that higher up midtown.

We stayed at the Gansevoort for my boyfriend's birthday weekend in December. Upon check-in they welcomed us and acknowledged the birthday. They upgraded us to a suite and sent a bottle of champagne to our room. What a welcome! The room was great and very spacious for New York. We also had a balcony and plenty of windows with views of the city. The bed was super comfortable, tons of closet space, and the bathroom was quite large with a large tub. The hotel is a few blocks to the subway. A Starbucks is right across the street. The upstairs bar is cool and a bit loud at night.
If I had to add a negative comment it would be that the lighting in the bathroom was a bit too dim for me. Other than that it was a perfect hotel and would definitely stay there again.

This hotel is beautiful and comfortable. Rooms are larger- as are the washrooms. Staff, especially housekeeping, are friendly and knowledgeable ( concierge could brush up his city knowledge!). It is not cheap- but when a deal is found, it is worth it! Especially like the plug-banks beside the beds and the deep tub. Great stay!

My friend and I stayed 5 nights at the Gansevoort Park Avenue and I would highly recommend this to any of my friends visiting the city. Having seen the Gansevoort in the Meatpacking District, I was keen to stay with the hotel goup, but wasn't sure what the area was like for this hotel... but it was absolutely perfect for us.

The door staff, concierge and reception staff are fantastic. Very friendly and helpful ... even when it came to trying to zip up our suitcase after a day's shopping! No matter how bad the weather was, they were always on hand to run out to flag down a cab for us too ... very grateful for that! They also have umbrellas to take out too!

The bed was perhaps the most comfortable I have ever slept in! Perfect after a day walking around NYC! The size of the room was great too - we were 2 girls, with loads of clothes, bags, shoes and boots and there was plenty of room for everything and to get ready in. Our room also had the most amazing view of the Empire State Building ... and what a view that was!! As expected, the standard of the furnishing and cleanliness was excellent. The bathroom was a good size too - very deep bath, soft towels and a great shower.

We didn't use the rooftop bar - the onenight we wanted to, it was closed. It seems to be managed separatley from the hotel and they felf it was too quiet to open it. I think that may have been a one off on the Sunday, as it was open other nights. That was a bit of a disappointment... but we still went up another night to look at the pool and the view. Wow!! There is a lovely place just across the road though called The Tavern - this was recommended to me by someone who spends a lot of time in Manhattan - and I would recommend it too.

The restaurant that belongs to the hotel is certainly worth going to. I'venever really been keenon hotel's restaurants - but this one is open to everyone and unless you were staying at the hotel, you wouldn't know it was part of it. It has a great atmosphere, very welcoming staff and the recommedations for dinner were absolutely spot on! The monkfish dish and asparagus was absolutely beautiful ... and on the Sunday night the bottles of wine were half price! Whether that is the norm, I'm not sure, but worth checking. As we were hotel guests, we also got a discount too.

All in all, a fantastic hotel and one I would certainly book again. I stayed at the Hilton on the Avenue of the Americas last time, but this one is much better if you want a much more personal service and friendly hotel.

Room Tip: We were on the 11th floor and facing the Empire State Building - we were away from the lifts - but i...

Stayed in a luxury King over the 4th of July. Great hotel near to everything in the city. We were able to walk everywhere we wanted to go. Broadway, Times Square, even a trip to Governor's Island. Spent time on the roof top for 4th of July fireworks, spectacular! Hotel staff was attentive and accommodating. Had a fantastic and inspired dinner at the Ristorante Aselina, great cocktails and appetizers, suggested by waiter.
