“I do not recommend”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed April 28, 2014

The only reason I give 2 star is because the place was decently clean. The pictures are a lie. There is little to no room to walk around, the bathroom had more room to walk around than in the actual room. Also, yes there is a desk but no room to put the chair. They have a HD tv but no HD channels so the pictures are blurry and no DVD players anywhere in the hotel. Also, no HDMI ports on the tv to hook up for laptop to watch a movie. The bed is as hard as a rock. I feel like the floor would be more comfortable if there was room. There is no air unit or thermostat in the room. The window opens so I guess that is your air conditioning but the hotel is in the middle of China town so air quality not good. The towels had holes and stains on them. Overall, do not stay here.

Room Tip: Do not choose this hotel!!!!!!

We stayed here for 8 nights and found the staff really helpful and kind, The breakfast was basic and by the end we were bored of croissants but its was fine! The room was comfortable having stayed in many hostels before the bed was hard but fine! By the time we have been out all day exploring new york you don't notice the nearby railway noise and sleep fine. All in all a great hotel thats cheap and basic. Its a good alternative to hostels as you get a private ensuite room and a good location to get into centre of new york easily. Its just no frills but if your there to explore thats all you need.

Room Tip: Ask if there is room not on the railway side if possible.

If you're looking for a cheap place to sleep, with private bathroom and near public transportation (in this case, the F line subway is 2 blocks away), this is the choice for you. The hotel staff was kind, and the rooms were clean. Considering it was near a train track, I was afraid that it would be noisy, but it wasn't. Wi-fi had decent speed for a hotel.

The only sleeping problem is that the bed was not very soft, but it was ok. The room is very small, there's space only for you anf the bed. This means your lugagge will be over the desk, sometimes covering the TV. Their breakfast is actually coffe with a selection of two kinds of microwave sandwich or croissant (changed each day, but there was alaways two kinds), some of them with poor taste, but at least all of them fresh. No butter, cream cheese, juice or anything else.

What a friendly and nice hotel! The staff was very honest and helpful. We lost our bag of souveniers and the cleaning lady had found it and when we asked for it from the reception, they brought it to us. Definitely going to stay here again! Room was also very clean. Neighborhood was very safe and location is excellent!. Only little minus comes from the poor breakfast.

I took a room on fourth floor. The wi-fi was good for web reading only. I tried to use Netflix and the movie not even started to load. The door was once broken and they fix it awfully, but when i asked to change my room they did it without majors problems... The "new" room was ecactly the other one, but with a good door. The safe on that room was broken... Besides the room was pretty good cleaned and the breakfast was OK.

This hotel is right by little Italy and China town, it's close to a lot of tourist destinations but is also right next to a train line, I spent one night here before I had to leave for another hotel the beds were almost like sleeping on concrete

Staff was friendky. That is all that was worth it.
Hotel is grossly dirty. Mold in bathroom (chalk and grout very moldy). Cleaning lady dies not HAVE a vacuum?, no cleaners in cart?.
No separate room air units, heating controlled by hotel?. Was so hot, but opening windows could kill you. Delivery trucks park on corner and diesel fumes come in and noise so loud you cannot breath and sleep.

Asked for room to be vacuumed, it never was? Never used cleaners in room.

I came home with an eye infection (doc said mold) and a sliver of metal in my toe and it was infected.
T.v channels also such and bed is hard as a rock?!!!!
