“Horrible”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed July 21, 2012 via mobile

This hotel is the worst I have ever stayed at. The beds are basically box springs and ou are probably better off sleeping on the floor... The bathrooms have mold and it is like that in all the rooms, I tried to switch and it was a waste of time... Management is not understandable about the horrible rooms they have when we wanted to cancel our stay... We were basically better off sleeping in the car... Stay across the street at Hotel 91.. Much better rooms, mattress, cleanliness, and service!!!!

I´m gonna be mean and start with negative. Please don´t book this hotel if you are looking for a place with breakfast. Their so called breakfast consists of aged and suspiciously tasting buns, served in a smelly laundry room in the basement!!! BUT, otherwise I was happy with our stay here. Fantastic location with easy access to Midtown Manhattan via direct subway line. Incredibly kind and helpful staff. Small but clean rooms. I would definitely recommend this place to all young couples travelling on budget.

Room Tip: Well, there is a Manhattan Bridge just across the street, so light sleepers be aware of noise!!! I p...

Good hotel with a simple but okay breakfast. Bed is a bit too hard and the room is very small, but with a vacation you are only in the room to sleep. Bathroom perfect. Nice people working there.

The hotel has all basic facilities : good parking locations, vending machines, business center (1 pc), free wifi, free breakfast. The bathroom is compatible with most hotels this size. The room was clean, as well as the bed's sheets.

The hotel is aging : televisions are still old big ones, and had a greenish color. The TV image quality was also average. The room has some old looking furnishing : carpet, sofa, chair... While coming to the hotel,

I was quite concerned about the neighborhood, as well as the specification that the hotel had "bullet proof windows". Indeed, there is a lot of protections for the guest : special glass doors to access the hotel, heavy doors, locks, and bullet proof windows. I didn't check that last part by myself.

The external insonorisation was very good : no noise at all from the surrounding roads. However, the internal insolation was not as good and I could hear the neighboors arguing during the night.

Also, when booking with hotels.com, I paid a price 20 USD higher than the receipt I received at the end of my stay. That's around 25%.

The service was good. Very helpfull. With recommending food, late arrived luggage was brought to room. Online incheck for flight, shuttlebus to airport.
What I missed was room in the bathroom to put stuff on.
A toiletcover would already be helpfull. The towels were too small.
I was there with my teenage daughter. Next time I would choose a hotel more near the center. With my partner or a friend This would have been less a problem.
