“Bustling & Lively”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 22, 2013

We times it right and arrived during a festival that was on in September and what a buzz! Lots of stalls in the streets and cafes/restaurants extended to the sidewalk all bustling for the attention of passers-by. Not sure what it would be like on a 'normal' day...

“Shrinking every day”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 22, 2013

Little Italy is gradually being swallowed up by the sprawling Chinatown next door. It contains many fine restaurants and treat shops, where you can pick up authentic gelato and cannoli. Grab dessert here after dinner in the more affordable Chinatown.

“Awww... the food!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 20, 2013

The Feast of San Gennaro was going on while we were there. We weren't familiar with a lot of the "true" italian food. All of the vendors we talked to were so nice. I stopped at one stand that was frying these ball things and asked what they were? A grandmother told me they were Zeppole. She gave me one to try, which by the way sold some more! OMG! Awesome.

Also tried Braciole for the first time. Got this from the street booth for Cha Chas. WOW! You can best believe I will be having this again.

My son had pizza, which he said was some of the best he had eaten and I tried a cannoli. Cannolis aren't my thing but, we enjoyed the whole experience and spend a lot of time just walking around checking things out and talking to people!

“Da Gennaro Restaurant”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 20, 2013

the Da Gennaro restaurant is in the heart of Little Italy. The Food is Cooked fresh and taste amazing, really make you feel like your in Italy. Service was above and beyond. waiting for the food was about 10-15min but you know a 2min cooked meal is not going to taste like the food from the motherland lol. i had the spaghetti with meatball my sister had the the margherita pizza, i had a slice and i must say that i have never tastes a pizza like that just out of this world. 5stars.

“A Delightful Friday Night”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 16, 2013

Jeff and I went to Little Italy with my Mom. We love this time of year. We always have so much fun and this year is no different. We strolled the entire area and observed the vendors and all their goods. We decided to visit a restaurant on Mulberry Street called "Taormina" . It had great decor, prompt service and great food specials. All three of us ate dinner for under $60.00.

It was a great way to end a long work week. It's also good for people-watching and live music. The festival ends this week (9/22). So hurry down as soon as you can to enjoy this yearly celebration.
