Would not recommend. Apart from the nice location on the upper west side I cannot think of any positives about this hotel. As you will read in the other comments - old, outdated, not overly clean. Lifts are ridiculously slow and dingy. TV didn't work at all. And staff in general were not friendly (a staff member who delivered a mini fridge to the room so I could store my insulin was positively rude as we didn't hear him knocking on the door straight away. Just to note I requested said fridge prior to check in, again while checking in, yet still had to phone and request again after checking in. Just an example of the hotel's efficiency) For the price you can find better. Would suggest you only stay here if you really can't find anything else.

Uptown hotel near subway. Within walking distance of central park. Deli, banks, market and restaurants near by. Hotel was clean. Beds were comfortable. Shower was hot and strong. Hairdryers barely worked and elevators were very slow but if you're on a lower floor you can use the stairs. Check out was noon and we had no problem extending until 1pm. Rates were reasonable and I would definitely stay again.

Room Tip: Lower floors if you want to take the stairs. The only ice machine is on the 11th floor but elevator...

We had a pleasant two-night stay at this property. We loved the relatively quiet upper west side location, only two long blocks from Central Park and two short blocks from Riverside Park. There are several good dining options within a one-block radius. Our room was clean, quiet and exactly what one would expect from a Days Inn. The price was right, and we were even upgraded to a corner room at no extra charge! The 1,2,3 line is almost outside the door, making travel to Times Square and downtown easy. We will stay here again if we travel to New York!

Room Tip: Even our corner room upgrade was small, so I don't think it matters much. But that's NYC - s...

When I visit New York I have en eye in location first, prices then, and always look for a clean room with non shared bathroom and wifi.
The Days Hotel was a good choice. It is great to walk few meters and be in the 1 or 2 (red) line to get everywhere . If you go shopping or to museums or want to visit up and down, there' nothing better. Adding you are in a cozy zone and you can visit Zabar's , shop in Century 21, go back leave your staff , relax half and hour and back to Brooklyn---

On the other side, you must know the pictures of the exteriors are from the Golden age of the Hotel and maybe will be back in a far future, since scaffolds cover all the building and you could miss it.
Also, they offer redecorated rooms, and older rooms.
In my opinión, their listing and picture are honest but you could miss this detail and pay too much for the old rooms, which I would skip and , as I did, I would go for the newer at 12th floor.
Ok, and if you booked a room with a KING size bed, insist and do not accept a room with a Queen Size bed. My room was 1227 and was clean and well kept, next door room 1226 was smaller and people asked to move.
Elevators might be a problema between noon and check in time (should be 3pm but they insist in being late and you must fight to get a room around 4pm ) : it is because lazy workers keep them busy with their carryons and don't let guests use them, while at night or during the morning everything works as it should.
Bathroom had amenities and clean towels. Tvs were news and few cable networks available, enough to watch the FIFA cup i.e. : Internet is decent and the signal is good also.
I would go back again for Price, location, and services, and would suggest to the management to improve check out and check in follow ups.
I wrote them and had an answer via email in hours, which was nice, but when I got to the Hotel the front desk was facing tens of late check ins....

Room Tip: level 12 !

The Days Hotel is well located, close to many restaurants and subway stations. Our room was nice; the only thing I would suggest is a good carpet cleaning, as most guests walk around with shoes/boots. Cable TV was functional, as was the AC, not too noisy. In room safe was extremely convenient, as was the WiFi, which isn't the fastest but very acceptable. Would definitely stay there again!

the rooms of this hotel are very far from what the website describes.
I was there with 2 collegues of mine and our rooms were old, the wallpaper was torn in several places and the bath was dirty. Air condition system was very noisy and the nights were terribly hot, but due to the noise it was not nice to sleep with the air condition system on. although all of this people working there were very nice and helpful.

I stayed a couple of nights in this hotel. It is a huge and ugly hotel, located close to a metro station, something which is very convenient.
My room was in the eight floor and was not easy to find. I had to go through an emergency exit (in which somebody had written the room numbers behind with a marker) to get to it. It did not look like the pictures (I guess they have some renovated rooms, it was not the case for mine). The room had one big window with a busted dirty air conditioning machine on it, a big bed, a table, a huge piece of furniture with a very old big TV on it, a random closet and a bathroom. All of this in a really small space.
The window was there but could have not been with not much difference, every noise 8 floors down could be heard up with no problem at all, it was close to sleep in the street. All the night you could hear the traffic, the sirens, the trucks going in reverse direction, the people... It did not offer much isolation of any other kind, it could be cold in the room or very hot.
The bed was nice, clean and comfortable, probably the best thing of the room.
The TV probably did not work, I would not know for sure since there was no remote. The phone did definitely not work at all. The wifi worked barely, you could use it for emailing and not much more than that, if you need to work from your room this may not be an ideal hotel.
The carpet of the floor was old and dirty, the decoration very dated, the bathroom, as old as the carpet (at least), not super clean but not super dirty. It had good amount of towels and amenities.
There are works happening on the building, so if you looked through the window you would see the scaffolding directly.
Also, there are 4 elevators but during my time there only two worked and not at the same time.
So, the good: location, the bed, the promptness of the cleaning (which was really nice), the amount of towels, and something I did not mention either: the coffee maker in the room (that is a nice thing).
The bad: the rest.
