“It is loud in the cheep rooms over the bar, and breakfast is a bit limited, but everything else was wonderful”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 4, 2013

I got a cheap room over the bar and stayed there in the midst of the big February 2013 snowstorm. They warned me it'd be a bit loud, and there was some thumping, and it quieted down when they said it would. Breakfast was somewhat limited, but edible. But everything else about this place is wonderful. The decor in the hotel and the rooms is special and its on one of the best restaurant blocks in new york and very near the theater district. They did not disappoint; I got exactly what I expected.

High quality rooms. Well decorated. Nice atmosphere. Nice finishes. Far enough away from the madness of Times Square. Well located in Theatre district, if you plan to go to shows.
Colin, the main operator, is very helpful.

Many restaurants nearby, only few minutes walk from TIMES SQUARE
The stuff was very helpful and the manager so charming .
Lovely room with everything you need.

Colin and John, as well as their other staff, continue to always deliver first class service. The cleanliness as well as the decor is top notch. The location is fantastic - convenient to Penn Station as well as numerous subway stops. I have stayed here before and will continue to do so as my #1 pick in NYC. Price includes continental breakfast too - fantastic value. LOVE this place!!!

Just completed my fourth stay at the French Quarters, home away from home for my annual immersion in NYC theatre and art. The location is perfect if you are seeking easy access to theatre district, most subway lines, and the low-stress/cost trip in from JFK on the E train. Colin McCormack and his staff provide a warm welcome and personalized hospitality. If you are sensitive to street noise, ask for a quieter room (or use the white noise app on your smartphone). This solo traveler appreciates the lively activity on Restaurant Row, the security of a smaller hotel and the flexibility of eating out or preparing food in my kitchenette (lots of grocery choices nearby). Solid value for the money in the pricey Big Apple. Looking forward to my next trip.

Love this hotel - Colin is wonderful! We stayed a few days after SuperStorm Sandy and everyone could not have been better. While mid-town did not suffer the devastation, everyone made sure we had a good experience. Hotel is very clean and well appointed. Breakfast was included and very nice. Located on Restaurant Row, many restaurants are minutes away.

Room Tip: Had a french balcony on Restaurant Row but keep in mind that deliveries and trash pickup is during t...

Our first trip to NYC and we couldn't have stayed anywhere better. The service was amazing, especially the Irish guy at reception ( sorry forgot your name!) The balcony was great and the rooms amazing and clean! The toiletries were also very impressive! Thanks very much, we hope to come back soon!
