While we love seeing shows on Broadway, our budget does not always allow. My husband and I were delighted when our children gifted us with two tickets to see Jersey Boys the first Sunday in January. We had heard so many great things about the show that we had both agreed, unbeknownst to them, that the next time we saw a show, it would be this one. We arrived at the theatre about 20 minutes before show time and were ushered in. Something to note: the only restrooms are on the main floor located behind the souvenir stand. There is an ample bar to your left, however, be forewarned that a glass of wine and a beer were over $30 (!) Our seats were in the second row of the first mezzanine--perfect, especially since no one sat in front of us. We knew the show was about the Four Seasons, but knew nothing of their story. Wow, from beginning to end we were mesmerized! The performers are excellent, the music delightful, and the story very interesting. It really made me want to learn more about Frankie Valle and the Four Seasons' lives and experiences. Both being 50 years old, we knew all the music. Still, even if we had not, I imagine we still would have loved the performance! If you can only see one Broadway show this year, I encourage you to go see Jersey Boys!
