“Excellent room, service and extras”

We are not members of the Hilton Vacation Club, but we were afforded the chance to stay there by responding to an offer to visit and perhaps purchase a membership. We stayed on the 38th floor in a large room by NYC standards. We were also granted privileges to a VIP club with sodas, coffee and a continental breakfast and a happy hour with free beer, wine and light snacks.

The Hilton Club is located on the 37th and 38th floors of the New York Hilton Hotel which is located on 6th Avenue (also known as Avenue of the America's) between 54th and 53rd Streets. It a block from Radio City Music Center and the Rockefeller Center area. It is a few blocks from most of the Broadway Shows.

The hotel offers valet parking for $51 a day! You can save almost $15 a day and just walk across the street. Check out Icon Parking online and print out a coupon and save at least $15 a day. This parking is located across the street from the hotel.

The room we were put up in was not on the 37th or 3th floors as promised. They also had a problem where they could not turn off the heat and the room became unbearable. My wife is handicapped and they moved us to another handicapped roll in shower room and this room had the same heating problem as the first one I use Hilton 99% of the time as my Hotel of choice. We were also promised 50,000 Hilton Honors points for our inconvenience and they have never showed up in my Hilton Honors account as promised by Bradley. I will never stay at this Hilton even if they comped my entire stay it was so bad.

Located high on the 37/38 floors of the main hotel on Sixth Avenue, the Hilton Club offers assuring views, dual concierges, light snacks in the afternoon and elegant peace when you come off the sidewalks. Located near everything you want and need, from MOMA to an array of fine dining, subways, and theatres, this is a great stay!

It's remarkable how difficult it is to use Hilton's website to make reservations for one of their Grand Vacation sites. I think neanderthals created and maintain the site. Once having checked in however, it improves. Breakfasts on the 37th floor could use a bit of change from time to time. Same same.

Two floors make up the NY Hilton Club. Were here on a HGVC sales pitch weekend. The private check-in saved us from the ridiculous check-in line in the main lobby. The Hilton Club offers the "club" lounge with free soft drinks and water, no-so-good cookies in the afternoon, fair breakfast in the morning and something in the evening we never had an opportunity to partake.

Room was standard Hilton, meaning pretty nice. Comfy bed, large tv, desk and being on the 38th floor, a nice view. The bathroom was smaller than average for an upscale hotel but okay.

We've visited this hotel before and see that it has several dining options but we chose elsewhere. The location is really awesome; central park a few blocks, grand central a few blocks, times square and theater district all in easy walking distance. Lots of restaurants, shopping, etc., but hey, this is NYC.

As far as value, tough for us to say, considering the great opportunity we enjoyed with the HGVC sales pitch (just say no).

Room Tip: 37th and 38th floors are ideal. Suggest staying a few doors away from the club room.

Just stayed for two nights at Hilton Club which consists of two floors (37 and 38) of a large Hilton hotel. Location is just fine, on Avenue of Americas, half way between Rockafeller Center and Central Park.

Hilton Club has its own check-in on floor 37 which is just as well as the lobby of main hotel can be very busy with queues waiting to check-in. The room was just as I would expect, clean and well equipped, Bathroom had a first rate shower but no bath. Inclusive WiFi was fast and reliable. Each evening from 5 to 7 there is a reception in the Executive lounge with canapés, fruit, wine and beer which could make a reasonable evening meal if you chose. The lounge is the venue for breakfast (6 through 10) which consists of cereal, cold meat, cheese etc. Coffee and Sodas are available throughout the day.

Hotel prices in Manhattan are not cheap and there is a good choice of quality hotels, but I was very pleased with our choice. Service was very good, for example we needed to keep some food cold so a fridge was delivered to the room within 10 minutes of it being requested.

Had the budget for this trip been tight I would not have chosen Hilton Club and would have probably stayed further out of town, but for quality of service and above all location this was first class.

Checked in and were given one bedroom for the first two nights and then had to be moved to a two bedroom the last night.

One bedroom was big and comfortable. The bed was good but the pull out sofa wasn't great. We were in the room at the end of the hall (#3810) and it pretty quiet, especially in the bedroom. BUT we had a surprise. When we opened the sofa bed we found the sheets and blankets from the previous occupants still on the bed ... complete with chocolate smudges and crumbs. I then noticed a small napkin under the sofa. When I reached under to pull it out, I also pulled out tons of dirt, nuts and other stuff. Guess they didn't check or clean.

The clubs lounge was very nice and the staff pleasant.

The real problem was our last night. The two bedroom we were move to was terrible. Room 3855. It turned out that it backed onto an elevator shaft and you heard the elevators zooming up and down past the room all night long. Sounded like a train. Horrible. No other room was available so had to live with it but it was not good at all!

Room Tip: Stay away from 3855. 3810 was great.
