My Family and I went for afternoon tea on thursday 29th October. The location and views over central park were excellent. We ordered the afternoon tea, which was in my opinion very poor. The Scones were good, however the selection of cakes and sweets was uninspiring and limited (do they have a full-time pastry chef at this hotel!) Avoid this hotel if you are used to expecting high standards when it comes to afternoon tea. The management need to visit the Mandarin Oriental or Grand Hyatt in Hong Kong, or either of the Langham hotels in Hong Kong, or Browns hotel in London, here you will experience a proper afternnoon tea, with a comprehensive range of cakes etc. I felt like complaining but did not want to spoil the occaision for my family. As an aside the light snack menu that other guests were served, did look very good !, in retrospect I should have gone for this menu, rather than the afternoon tea,

Visited this swanky bar to find incredible drinks and the best service. The view from 35 floors up looking out at Central Park and the City makes you feel like you are flying...and Jaime, the Host, made you feel like you were a guest at his home. Go and treat yourself!

I go to the Lobby Lounge for lunch at least once a week. I have never had a problem getting a table. The staff always greet me by name and they know what my drink/dining preferences are.

The food is consistently good. And the views are to die for. Yes, the drinks are a little on the pricey side. But after all, this is a five star hotel in Manhattan. Sometimes you get what you pay for.

My husband came here for drinks, a light meal and the view of the city. Unless you are a guest at the hotel you can't get reservations. We waited for a table to open up for an hour, were finally seated and then snubbed by the waitstaff. The view is amazing but not worth the hassle. There is no view at MObar. (All the tables by the window were reserved) The drinks are overpriced. I would not return.
