We chose City Lobster because it was convenient to the theater we were headed for. Reviews here and elsewhere suggested City Lobster was a tourist trap mediocrity, but I didn't care -- the location was right and I could get a reservation. Well, this is NOT a mediocre restaurant, even if tourists do eat there, and we were pleasantly surprised. They offered about a half-dozen interesting brews on tap. We had fresh, briny oysters, a bargain special that day at $.99 each; delicious, cold wedge salad; nicely prepared crab cakes with big chunks of crab; tasty, juicy broiled fish, and freshly brewed coffee. And decent service. And not break-the-bank. Many people around us were enjoying lobsters, which seemed fairly priced to me, as well as decadent, yummy-looking lobster mashed potatoes. We'll be back.
