Owner description: Bryant Park has a French-style merry-go-round, open year-round, plus a well-maintained lawn, with chairs and tables. The outdoor Reading Room has picture books and summertime story times. In winter. Take a spin on the free ice-skating rink. The park also has clean bathrooms, a rarity in midtown.

“Great little oasis on 42nd street”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 24, 2013

Plenty of seats available to take the weight off your feet when shopping & great people watching space to watch the world go by. Multiple refreshment choices for as much or as little as you want to spend.

“Great well maintained park; horrible and surly 'wichcraft restaurant workers”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 24, 2013

Bryant Park is a lovely, well maintained oasis in the city. The park is clean and the staff keeps the homeless from bothering the visitors.

I am disappointed to say the 'wichcraft restaurant food kiosks are horrible. The workers ignore the customers and wretched service. I was somewhat shocked as this was the only poor experience I had in an otherwise wonderful trip to NYC.

Absolutely wonderful place to begin your journey of the day and reflect on the previous days adventures. Quiet and relaxing ambiance.

“What a Park Should Be”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 22, 2013

Just hang or get into the many changing events that take place in the park - day and nite. Lunch near the noontime piano gig is the best!

“Awesome little park in the middle of it all!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 22, 2013

Can this park be any better? Next to Time Square and Grand Central. Right on 5 th Avenue. Close to the Empire State Building, all broadway shows, and the fashion district.
The park itself has many interesting features including a carousel, fountain, games, the NY public library, reading area, and endless people watching. During the summer, they show movies on the lawn on a giant screen. During the winter, the lawn is replaced by an ice rink and cute shops. Quintessential New York.
