“Summer Swing at Lincoln Center”

This is an annual event in July...lots of fun and great music. It's outdoors in Damrosch Park next to the Met. Arrive early and take a dance class before the band starts up.

Even if you don't see a show, stroll around in the evening when the center is lit up. It is beautiful.

“Lincoln Center Infinite Performing Arts”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 13, 2013

Lincoln Center is a cultural compound housing several dozen performing arts venues, the most famous of which are Alice Tully Hall, Avery Fisher Hall, Metropolitan Opera House, Vivian Beaumont Theater, Lincoln Center Theater, Rose Theater, Elinor Bunin Munroe Film Center, Julliard Music School, Public Library for the Performing Arts, Damrosch Park, & the Lincoln Center Fountain. Performances include the NY Philharmonic, NYC Ballet, Wynton Marsalis' Jazz Orchestra, various live theater companies & films from all over the globe. The library contains books on all manner of performing arts, & you can watch movie DVDs on their computers. Right now the Free Lincoln Center Out of Doors Fest is presenting live music, dance, & theater performances at various areas in & around Damrosch Park & the Fountain for most of the month of Aug, & the Mostly Mozart Fest starts later this month. The Subway Cinema Asian Film Fest just finished in July, & the world famous NYFilm Fest is coming in late Sept. Some of the venues are pricey, but the most expensive ones usually offer discounted last-minute tkts. There's always so much going on at Lincoln Center, it really is impossible to list it all. When it comes to performing arts, there truly is something for everyone at Lincoln Center.

My family loves music so this was a perfect fit for us. We attended a concert at Avery Fischer Hall that was for kids and adults too.

“Spectacular”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 12, 2013

If you are into the arts then this is the place for you. The center is loaded with activities and events for enjoyment. We attended a "Diner en Blanc" event here last August which was beyond fabulous. The center is visually magnificent and you could spend hours just outdoors admiring the architecture, the fountain and the grounds. The grounds are well appointed and maintained and the interior of the center is just as stunning. If you are new to NYC or visiting, this is a must and if you are NYC native, well you already know how fabulous this is!
