My food experience here was the worst I've had in a long time... Factoring in cost for the dinning experience. NOT MEMORABLE.
Wonderful service, nice wine list, great food presentation....
I started out with the steam black muscles that came with two measly tiny bits of toast... it was ok to good, but I've had much better.
My partner and I then shared the lamb ribs, and braised short ribs... for a moment I though, maybe I'm catching a cold or my taste buds all of a sudden went to sleep... they were both bland, lacked any taste.
Off we went to the entrees, Hearth Roasted Montauk Dourade, and Day Boat Scallops... I started to get frustrated as the presentation of the food was wonderful but once I took a bite I found it disappointing, bland, lacking flavor.
Born and raised in San Francisco with parents in the wine industry, myself working part time in the food and beverage industry. I've worked with some of the best chefs from the west coast to the east coast.. I know food!!!
For the price paid this was most disappointing, perhaps I hit it on an off night as my New York foodie friend loves this place... but then again he loves cold stale pizza.
