“Elegance on Madison Avenue”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 days ago NEW

We loved our 3 nights at this truly elegant hotel and found the staff to be very courteous and helpful. The King-sized bed was so comfortable and the view of St. Patrick's Cathedral from the 23rd floor was spectacular, even behind the scaffolding.
I look forward to a return visit.

This is the second time I have stayed here. We were previously here a couple of years back on holiday. This time I chose to stay on business for 3 nights. The rooms are spacious, beds comfortable and the hotel is in a great position in Midtown Manhattan. Overall this is a great hotel. I have stayed in a number of hotels in this area and found the New York Palace to be the best. If you are looking for an early breakfast close by, the New York Luncheonette serves from 6am – it’s not swanky but the food and service is good and quick.

Because you really can't beat the location . This time around the service was at par with the rating of the hotel . The staff at The Towers were particularly charming and helpful whenever we asked for information .
I was allowed to get my room earlier than the normal check in time but was a little disappointed that the upgrade I was offered via the internet was no longer available but I could get the same room for a higher price . A bait by email and an up-sale on arrival ?
I have made arrangement for a graduation party in May with the help of Snena Zaric ,Diplomatic Service manager , who really took the time to understand our family needs

I arrived at the hotel at 4 30 PM (check in is at 3 00) to be told by a less than friendly receptionist that our room will not be ready for a while. After 25 mins of waiting I asked for manager, who was actually in the lobby (the first good sign!). She gave us an upgrade to a Cathedral view room and here we went! The room was huge, the view was exceptional, the hotel was gorgeously renovated and modern (I have seen too many shabby chic New York hotels to appreciated modernity), and the rest of the staff were nice and professional!

We had a memorable stay. The location is simply fabulous, close to everything. I strongly suggest breakfast at their bakery (just get the breakfast a la cart, the package that includes breakfast may not be worth the extra cost). Just one little complaint: the Wifi should be free in a hotel of this caliber in this day and age!

Room Tip: If you can, get a cathedral view room, the extra cost may be well justified.

This is our second time at the New York Palace. We went back to stay there simply for the excellent Service by their Concierge Kal. We had some issues with housekeeping but the great tower front desk staff Mr. Assad, Samir, Jim, and Annmarie took care of it for us. We missed their restaurant a lot. A wonderful hotel, a great location, with a perfect staff that will make us return.

This hotel was a great experience from a to z. I can't comment too much on the service etc because I did not used too much but my contact with front desk was very friendly (sometimes in NY front desk can be rough).

The room was very large, nicely decorated, super clean and very comfortable. I was on high floor with a view on Queens and it was really nice.

Location of the hotel is ideal for both business and city visit.

Room Tip: High floor

My wife and I traveled to NYC to take in 2 shows even though we purchased our stay on a hotel web site I woudl stay here on our next stay in MYC. The staff was attentive as they had to send a person to our room to open the mini bar as it was electronically lock and we were told it coudl not be opened until the morning after protesting he cam directly to the room to open. The doormen were very nice calling a cab anytime we needed to go out. Since we prepaid the room at booking the only charges should have been a bollte of water and a few drinks from the bar only caution we here charged for some canday that was not taken we were assured a credit woudl be given but will not know until we receive our statement.

Dear Mike D,

We are all thrilled that you had such a wonderful stay with us and that the doormen were always able to get you a taxi in the busy Big Apple! We have made sure that your account was settled properly with the refreshment center and you should see credit back to you on your credit card. I hope to welcome you back soon, and would encourage you to visit our website for seasonal promotions. We regularly team up with Broadway shows and are currently offering an amazing package in partnership with Harvey Weinstein’s, Finding Neverland, where you receive specialty themed cocktails in Trouble’s Trust, cookies from Pomme Palais and a playbill singed by the entire cast and more.

Best,
John C. Tolbert
