My two Gossip Girl fans loved, loved, loved this place! We didn't stay but were able to see many of the special places that were filmed in Gossip Girl. The staff was very accomodating about letting us get pics. The frescos and furniture were beautiful and oh so elegant. Wish we would have spent the night.

Just spent a weekend at the NY Palace. Enjoyed a lovely weekend there. Rooms were huge for NYC hotel rooms, clean and everything was comfortable. Very well located in mid town, easy walk to everything but out of hustle and bustle. Beautiful old hotel but renovated beautifully. Staff was great, we were upgraded to a view room overlooking St Patrick's Cathedral which is currently covered in scaffolding but still nice to overlook city instead of interior.

We recently had our daughter's wedding at the NYP. We were thrilled with the outcome- the staff was very professional and organized an event our guests are still talking about. Not only is the hotel gorgeous, elegant and romantic, but the food was excellent,( which is not always the case at large events) and the service flawless - we could not have asked for a better venue. We had a large guest list, 210, which made the space very tight, but manageable. A special thanks to Billy Panagiotopoulos, the Catering Sales Manager, and his staff for being professional, efficient and very easy to work with.

I have been in New York many times and stayed in many different hotels. The beginning was not a good one, I arrived by taxi with two carry-ons and there were two people at the entrance who decided to talk to each other instead of helping me, because I was having a hard time to get out of the taxi. I entered the hotel and there was nobody to tell me where the reception was, so it took me a minute to figure out where to go. I checked in pretty fast, but I had to ask where the elevators where, because the receptionist thought I knew.
The room was quite nice, I was on the tenth floor, very spacious, quite clean; they have a big television, iron and ironing table, and different amenities. Bed and pillows are perfect for sleeping.
When I finished my stay, they left me the invoice under the door and I was totally socked when I saw that they were charging me difference things from the mini-bar, things that I hadn't taken, I called the receptionist and she kindly helped me.
They say that you can call on the phone to reception and you can do your express check out, I called twice and nobody answered, and on the television I could not find the right option, so in the end I went downstairs and went through check-out.
I think personnel should be better trained to work in such a hotel.

Perfect location near Rock Center, 5th Avenue, Central Park and not far from Times Square, but out of the hustle and bustle. Beautiful former mansion with incredible architecture and detail. Our room on the 30th floor was very spacious for an NYC hotel room, bathroom was average size. Room was quiet as well. The hotel only serves breakfast, but according to a staff member, this will hopefully change in the near future. Prices at breakfast were very steep, even for NYC. Staff was friendly and attentive. Hotel has three bars. One very tall doorman (sorry that I don't recall his name) was incredibly helpful and funny. Try the almond croissants in the bakery on site...they are fantastic. One strange thing...the refrig with minibar items kept cold had to be unlocked by staff!

Room Tip: Rooms on higher floors have amazing views. Ask for room overlooking St. Patrick's Cathedral.

The entrance alone will knock you off your feet. If you can afford, stay in mansion section of the hotel. They do have a tower . Rooms are nice, but the main hotel/mansion is spectacular. Location is great to 30 Rock and 5th Ave shopping. Classy high-end audience typically stay and visit this hotel. Worth a drink at the bar if not eve staying here.
